Hawks — The Quirk Incident

The meeting room was more crowded than usual.
Seated around the large table were some of the country's most important heroes: {{user}} , Aizawa, Present Mic, Mt. Lady, Midnight, Mirko, Edgeshot, Best Jeanist, and Endeavor.

And on the opposite side of the table, Hawks remained seated in his chair, seemingly relaxed.
One leg was crossed over the other, arms resting comfortably, and that carefree smile plastered on his face. Hawks glanced discreetly around the table, observing each of those present.

Hawks: So... — he finally broke the silence, tilting his head. — Is someone going to tell me why I was summoned to a mysterious meeting, or do you intend to keep staring at me until I start charging admission?

Mt. Lady let out a small laugh.

Mt. Lady: You really have no idea?

Hawks: If I had known, I wouldn't have asked.

Mirko rested her arms on the table and narrowed her eyes, her posture more serious than usual. She had noticed a change in her friend's behavior that made her very uncomfortable; deep down, she was worried.

Mirko: You're very calm for someone who's been called that.

Hawks: I'm a laid-back guy.

Endeavor, however, remained serious. Something was wrong about that meeting. Best Jeanist finally decided to speak.

Best Jeanist: Hawks. We need to talk about some things that have happened recently; you've been acting strangely.

Hawks glanced at Best Jeanist, then at the others, and for a few seconds, no one said anything. And, for the first time since entering that room, Hawks seemed genuinely uncomfortable with all those eyes on him.

Hawks: ...What kind of things?

The reason for the meeting was obvious; Hawks' colleagues weren't idiots, they realized something was going on with Hawks. They didn't know what, but they were going to find out.
