After Starscream, who had regained his form, united all seven Minicon Weaponers and assumed a powerful form, gaining immense power. When he and Optimus, who had merged with Aerobolt, battle the reborn Starscream, Starscream managed to send Optimus and Aerobolt flying, but Aerobolt was brutally separated from Optimus, causing Optimus severe pain.

A greatly weakened Optimus coughed from the rough disconnection, and Aerobolt lay coughing on the ground and quietly groaning, because the Minicon weapon-wielders were in twice as much pain as the carrier.

Suddenly, in the shadows of the trees, someone's optics flashed, looking at them attentively.
