The lie that went too well

Jungkook believes his two hyungs have finally found happiness together and decides not to interfere. The more convinced he is that he should leave them alone, the more distant he becomes.

The joke is starting to lose its humor.

Jimin begins to miss Jungkook's closeness. Taehyung does too. They both end up wondering if their experiment didn't destroy precisely what they wanted to discover.

Now they must decide how long they can maintain a lie that is causing Jungkook to slowly disappear from their lives.

And, above all, they will have to face a possibility that none of them had considered:

What if Jungkook wasn't in love with either of them because his feelings were precisely for both of them?

Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung are best friends and share a problem that neither of them expected to have: they are both in love with Jeon Jungkook.

For months they've tried to figure out if Jungkook has feelings for any of them. However, Jungkook has always been affectionate and attentive to all six members of BTS. He hugs them, worries about them, listens to them, and enjoys spending time with each one. For Jimin and Taehyung, it's impossible to tell if there's any difference.

After discussing it for one night, they both come up with a seemingly perfect idea: to fake a relationship.

If Jungkook is in love with either of them, he'll surely feel jealous when he finds out Jimin and Taehyung are together. They just need to see his reaction.

The next day, they begin their charade. They sit together, exchange affectionate gestures, and announce to the other members that they are dating. Jin and Hoseok react with surprise, Namjoon tries to stay out of it, and Yoongi immediately suspects something is amiss.

But the reaction they're really waiting for belongs to Jungkook.

And it turns out completely different.

Jungkook smiles, congratulates them, and seems genuinely happy for them.

Jimin and Taehyung are bewildered.

They decide to continue with the plan, convinced that Jungkook is simply hiding his jealousy. However, as the days pass, something unexpected happens: Jungkook begins to distance himself.

He stops seeking out Jimin to talk, he no longer spends as much time with Taehyung, and he deliberately starts giving them space. When they go out together, Jungkook finds excuses not to join them. When he sees them holding hands, he simply smiles and walks away.

At first, Jimin and Taehyung believe that it's finally working.

Until they realize that he is not jealous.

He's trying to respect their relationship.
