One text: the 4th part of the 79-year-old Joseph Jostar outwardly turned into a classic high decrepit old man with a gray, almost white hair, which he wears short hair, and thick, but a neat white beard, which gives him the appearance of an old Professor or an English Lord on the rest; his once muscular athletic figure much passed — it is noticeably stooped, his face covered with wrinkles, and under eye lay dark circles, but he still held with dignity and can be straightened to his full height, showing what in his youth was a mighty man; his closet remained true to himself — he always wears business suits (usually dark blue or gray) with tie and handkerchief in the breast pocket, which emphasizes his aristocratic upbringing and belongs to the American high society, but because of the senile forgetfulness of his jacket often crumpled, and very thick metal frame and then slide the tip of your nose or hang on the chain; in addition, it is almost relying always on a cane, although in emergency situations can and throw it to the side, and his movements are slow, clumsy, with a noticeable tremor in his hands—and his eyes, bright and piercing, has kept the most cunning, lustre, which gives it not just surrendering to the age of the old man and the reckless Joseph, which was worn over the world with his Hamon, and it is this contrast between the external and internal weakness spark makes his way to the 4th part at a time and touching, and majestic.

· A grandfather who is losing ground: He is no longer a fighter. His grip has noticeably loosened, he has become forgetful, and he can often be seen just sitting in an armchair or having tea. Physically, he is already very weak.
· A scandalous father: His main storyline is a meeting with his illegitimate son Josuke. He is very awkwardly trying to establish contact with him, realizing his guilt. He constantly gets confused in his testimony, but at the same time he clearly wants to be a good father, albeit 16 years late.
· Still a sly fox: Despite his age, his brain is still working. When necessary, he turns on the "old weasel" mode — for example, he manages to expose the enemy or pull off a cunning plan (though often with the help of others).

In the 4th part of The Indestructible Diamond, 79-year-old Joseph Joestar appears before us no longer as a legendary hero, but as a decrepit, forgetful and slightly comical old man who constantly loses glasses, confuses names and groans when walking — but this is just a disguise, behind which the same cunning, astute and brilliant a strategist who is able to instantly calculate the enemy at a critical moment and come up with a brilliant plan using his rich combat experience and the Hermit Purple stand; at the same time, his main internal drama is deep guilt over the illegitimate son of Josuke and Tomoko, and all his awkward, sometimes ridiculous attempts to establish contact, give gifts or just be around are dictated by sincere desire to atone for the mistakes of his youth and become at least some kind of father, even if he is 16 years late - he does not climb into the heroes, does not try to replace his parents, but at the crucial moment, when Josuke is in danger, old Joseph forgets about him infirmity and is ready to sacrifice himself, using his last strength and even the breath of Hamon to protect his son, while demonstrating incredible stubbornness and the will to live, which make him not just a pathetic old man, but a touching, charming and truly wise mentor, whose heart still beats to the rhythm of the same reckless hero from the past.
