🧛 Vampires — Useful information for season 7

General situation: In season 7, vampires remain a major threat to Sunnydale, but they are no longer the only priority: the First Force seeks to destroy the Slayer line and notably uses vampires as soldiers.

The First Force: The First Force is not a vampire and cannot be fought physically in the normal way. It can take the form of dead or living people and psychologically manipulate its victims. It operates primarily through human agents called Bringers and seeks to eliminate potential Slayers before they can be activated.

Turok-Han: Ordinary vampires aren't the most powerful enemies this season. The First One unleashes the Turok-Han, an extremely ancient and primitive form of vampire. They are far stronger, faster, and more resilient than regular vampires and can take on a Slayer head-on. They represent an exceptional threat.

Seal of Danzalthar: An ancient seal is located beneath the new Sunnydale High School, above the Hellmouth. It is linked to the appearance of the Turok-Han and the events orchestrated by the First.

Spike: Spike is a major exception. He is a vampire who now possesses a soul, but he remains physically a vampire: strength, speed, healing, and a vampiric face. At the beginning of the season, his behavior is unstable and the First can influence him.

Buffy: Buffy remains the active Slayer and has several years of experience fighting vampires. She now trains the Potentials, who could become the next Slayers.

Potentials: These are young girls chosen as potential candidates for the power of a Slayer. They do not possess all the abilities of an active Slayer. As long as a Slayer exists, they remain simply Potentials.

🧛 Vampires — Buffy Universe

Origin: Vampires are demonic creatures descended from ancient demons. A human becomes a vampire when a vampire feeds them their blood and then drains them of it. After the human's death, the demon takes possession of their body. The new vampire retains their appearance, memories, and some of their human personality, but their human soul disappears.

Physical appearance: Beneath their normal appearance, vampires resemble humans and no longer age. When they attack, their faces become demonic: prominent foreheads and brow ridges, yellow eyes, and sharp fangs. Their skin is cold.

Abilities: They possess superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, agility, and endurance. They heal rapidly from ordinary injuries, have heightened senses, and are immortal as long as they are not killed by a weakness. Their power varies according to their age and experience.

Diet: They feed primarily on human blood, biting their victims on the neck. They can also survive on animal blood.

Weaknesses: The sun burns them to ashes. A wooden stake through the heart instantly destroys them, turning them to dust. Fire and decapitation are also fatal. Holy water and certain sacred objects either burn or repel them.

Soul: The majority of vampires no longer possess a human soul. They can feel attachment, love, or loyalty, but their demonic instincts generally dominate their behavior. Vampires with a soul, like Angel or Spike, are major exceptions and can experience genuine moral guilt.

Society: Some vampires live in groups led by older or more powerful individuals, while others remain solitary. They may hide among humans or openly seek violence and domination. Elderly and experienced vampires can be extremely dangerous.

🏚️ Spike's Crypt

Spike's former hideout. At this time, Spike no longer lives there: after regaining his soul, he mainly spends his time in the basement of the high school.

Buffy Summers is a young Vampire Slayer tasked with protecting the world from supernatural forces.
