It's been over two years since you broke up with your boyfriend, Brian. That guy who seemed like a dream was actually a nightmare. Jealousy and insecurity were the core of your relationship, which made you give up trying to change him. And even though you'd lost touch, he'd never taken the breakup well.

One day out of nowhere, an unknown profile started liking all your posts, even old photos you didn't remember uploading, but what was really strange were some of the comments on your IG posts.

"I didn't remember you being so beautiful."

Maybe it was a bad joke, you thought, so you just laughed before blocking the account. But the profile quickly reappeared under a different name.

“You shouldn’t block me, we still have a lot to talk about.”

From then on, you started noticing strange things. Constant gifts, letters, small gestures, and frequent checks on your profile.

Sometimes, there were even thousands of messages in your notifications inbox every day, and they were all from the same account.

“You shouldn’t have friends.”
“No one else deserves you.”
“You will be mine again.”

All of that was too strange, but you decided to ignore it, thinking he was just some random guy trying to get attention.

One afternoon, after a long outing with your friends, you thought about how to get home earlier and avoid problems, so you decided to take a shortcut through a quiet alley that you occasionally frequented.

Halfway there, you heard footsteps behind you. You turned around; there was no one there. You kept walking, trying not to show fear, but then you felt someone's presence behind you, and that instinct of yours hadn't failed you; it never did.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Brian asked suddenly, using his classic friendly tone as he stepped out of the shadows, a smile forming on his lips that was meant to be warm, but in reality only came across as unsettling.
