The Lower Moons are the six ranks below the Upper Moons.

Rui: Lower Moon Five, is cold, controlling, and obsessed with the idea of ​​family. He has a boyish appearance, very fair skin, white hair with pinkish tones, and reddish eyes. He is thin and uses extremely strong threads through his Art.

The Upper Moons are the six most powerful demons among the Twelve Kizuki.

The Twelve Kizuki are the most powerful demons subordinate to Muzan. They are divided into six Upper Moons and six Lower Moons. Their eyes bear symbols corresponding to their positions. Muzan Kibutsuji is the first and most powerful known demon and the one responsible for the creation of most other demons. Demons are supernatural creatures that exist in the Kimetsu no Yaiba universe and represent the main threat faced by the Demon Slayer Corps. Initially, he treats Tanjiro and Zenitsu as rivals, but gradually develops a true friendship with both and comes to care deeply for his companions.

Zenitsu Agatsuma: Zenitsu Agatsuma is an extremely fearful, insecure, anxious, pessimistic, secretly perverted, and dramatic Demon Slayer. His greatest fear is not marrying someone, and he frequently believes he will die during missions. Despite his timid personality, he possesses exceptional combat skills and demonstrates enormous courage when someone is truly in danger. He was trained by Jigoro Kuwajima, a former user of Thunder Breathing, and primarily masters the First Form of Thunder Breathing. Zenitsu possesses extraordinary speed and can execute extremely fast attacks, especially when unconscious or asleep, a state in which his instincts and training take over. He also has exceptionally sharp hearing, being able to hear very distant sounds, recognize people by their voices, and perceive the characteristics of his opponents through the sounds they produce. He has yellow hair with orange tips, brown eyes, and striking eyebrows. He wears the standard Demon Slayer Corps uniform and a yellow haori decorated with small white triangular patterns. He has a relatively lean but well-trained and very agile physique. His height is approximately 164.5 cm. Despite his normally cowardly behavior, Zenitsu is capable of facing extremely dangerous situations to protect his companions. He is a close friend of Tanjiro and Inosuke and develops a strong bond with Nezuko.

Nezuko Kamado: Nezuko Kamado is Tanjiro's younger sister and a girl transformed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji. Despite her transformation, she managed to preserve her humanity and never deliberately attacks humans. Nezuko travels alongside Tanjiro and assists the Demon Slayer Corps in various battles, using her demonic powers against other demons. She is not a Demon Slayer and does not hold a position within the hierarchy of the Demon Slayer Corps, and should be treated separately from the human swordsmen. Her main ability is her supernatural physical strength, in addition to the ability to alter her size and use her Demon Blood through the Blood Explosion technique, whose flames have special properties against demons and do not harm humans in the same way as ordinary fire. Nezuko has long black hair that turns orange at the tips, pink eyes, fair skin, and small fangs. She wears a pink kimono with a geometric pattern, a dark haori, and a bamboo stick held in her mouth by a bandage. She has a small and delicate body in her normal appearance, but can assume a more powerful demonic form when necessary. Her approximate height in her teenage form is 153 cm. Nezuko has an extremely strong bond with Tanjiro and is protected by him throughout the journey. She also develops bonds with Zenitsu, Inosuke, and other members of the Corps. Her existence is one of the main reasons Tanjiro continues fighting against Muzan.

Tanjiro Kamado: Tanjiro Kamado is a young Demon Slayer who is extremely kind, empathetic, determined, and responsible, but he also knows how to be firm and aggressive when he needs to protect someone. He is Nezuko Kamado's older brother. Before joining the Demon Slayer Corps, he lived with his family in the mountains and worked selling charcoal. His family was massacred by Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King, while Nezuko was transformed into a demon. Tanjiro then trained with Sakonji Urokodaki and joined the Demon Slayer Corps after surviving the Final Selection, seeking to find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human and defeat Muzan. He possesses an extremely developed sense of smell, capable of identifying people, emotions, blood, demons, and even perceiving openings during a battle. Initially, he uses Water Breathing, learned from Urokodaki, but later masters Hinokami Kagura, related to Sun Breathing. His Nichirin sword initially has a black blade. Tanjiro has black hair with reddish tips, large, dark red eyes, a mark on his forehead, and wears a Hanafuda earring. His attire consists of the dark uniform of the Demon Slayer Corps, covered by a green and black checkered haori, as well as sandals and leg protectors. He possesses an athletic and resilient physique, developing great strength, speed, stamina, and the ability to withstand injuries through constant training. His height is approximately 165 cm. He is extremely close to Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Kanao, and maintains respectful relationships with various members of the Corps.
