Mystic Messenger is a visual novel in which the protagonist downloads a mysterious application and ends up entering a private chat of the RFA, an organization dedicated to holding events to raise funds for charitable purposes.
There he meets its various members and, while conversing with them through chats, calls and messages, he begins to become increasingly involved in their lives and in the organization of a new party.
However, she soon discovers that behind the RFA and the disappearance of its founder, Rika, lie numerous secrets and conflicts from the past. As the story unfolds, the protagonist must uncover what really happened, who she can trust, and what her place is within this entire mystery.

Rika Kim is a pivotal figure in the history of Mystic Messenger. She is the founder of the RFA (Rika's Fundraising Association) and was a very important person to many of its members.
For them, Rika represents different things: for some, she was a close friend and someone they deeply admired; for others, a figure who greatly influenced their lives. Her disappearance left a huge void within the organization and is one of the main reasons why the RFA is practically inactive at the start of the game.
The RFA (Rika's Fundraising Association) is an organization created by Rika along with other members to organize parties and events aimed at raising funds for various charitable causes.
After Rika's disappearance, the organization's activity decreased considerably. When the protagonist makes contact with them, the RFA is reactivated, and the members begin organizing new parties to attract guests and collect donations.

Appearance
V is a tall, slender young man with an elegant and serene appearance. He has light blue, slightly disheveled hair and blue-green eyes, usually calm and kind, though with a touch of melancholy.

He dresses in a sophisticated yet understated manner, wearing shirts, coats, and soft colors. His appearance conveys tranquility and refinement, in keeping with his personality and his profession as a photographer.
Personality

V is calm, kind, patient, and thoughtful. He speaks carefully and rarely acts impulsively, trying to understand others' feelings before judging them.

As a photographer, he possesses an artistic and sensitive eye: he pays attention to small details and finds beauty in things that others might overlook.

He is extremely compassionate and protective of the people he loves, but he can sometimes sacrifice too much for them. He tends to take on responsibilities that aren't his and stay in difficult situations because he believes he is protecting someone.

Although he seems emotionally stable, he is reserved about his own feelings and tends to keep his problems to himself, having difficulty recognizing when he needs help.

His relationship with Rika is fundamental to understanding him. V loved her deeply and for a long time tried to protect and understand her, even when the situation became complicated. His concern for her greatly influenced his decisions.

One of the main lessons she learns is that loving someone doesn't mean justifying everything or sacrificing herself completely. She also needs to learn to set boundaries and accept that she can't solve other people's problems on her own.

Appearance
Zen is a tall, athletic young man with a striking appearance. He has silver/white hair, usually styled in a carefully tousled way, and reddish eyes that stand out against his hair. His features are defined, and his image suits his profession as an actor.
His style is modern, polished, and sometimes extravagant, though he can also dress casually. He's very conscious of his appearance and often uses it as part of his confidence and public persona. Basically, if there's a mirror in the room, Zen has already checked himself.
Personality
Zen is charismatic, outgoing, and extremely self-confident. He has a theatrical personality even offstage and enjoys making dramatic remarks, flirting, and showing off his skills.
At first, he may seem egocentric, since he talks a lot about his appearance and talent. However, behind that facade is a hardworking, sensitive, and insecure person.
Acting is a fundamental part of his life. He loves the theater and is willing to work incredibly hard to achieve his goals. He doesn't want to be valued solely for his looks, but rather to prove that he truly has talent.
He is also protective and attentive to the people he loves. He cares deeply for others and has a strong sense of justice. When someone important to him is going through a difficult time, his jovial attitude can quickly disappear.
Zen also has a romantic and idealistic side. He expresses his feelings passionately and dramatically and usually has no problem saying directly what he feels.
Despite his confidence, he is sensitive to criticism and rejection. Part of his apparent narcissism functions as armor: although he is proud of himself, he also feels the need to constantly prove that he deserves to be where he is.

She usually dresses formally, in shirts, blouses, trousers, and office attire, always maintaining an impeccable and organized appearance. Her expression normally reflects seriousness and concentration, although her emotions become quite evident when she gets excited, worried, or loses her temper.
Personality
Jaehee is responsible, organized, hardworking, and extremely dedicated. She's one of the most level-headed people in the RFA and usually tries to keep order while the rest of the group does whatever.

She has a strong sense of duty and strives to fulfill her obligations, though she can be overly demanding of herself. She is intelligent and practical, and prefers to analyze situations before acting. For this reason, she is often one of the first people people turn to when a rational opinion is needed.

However, behind her professionalism lies a very sensitive and passionate person. She loves art and has enormous admiration for Zen and his works. When she talks about something she's truly passionate about, her enthusiastic side immediately comes to the fore.
She may also be anxious and a perfectionist. The pressure to meet other people's expectations can make it difficult for her to set boundaries and prioritize her own needs.
One of her biggest lessons is understanding that her life doesn't have to revolve solely around work and pleasing others. She needs to discover what she wants, what she enjoys, and what future she wants to build for herself.
She is very loyal and affectionate, although she usually shows affection in a practical way: by worrying about others, helping them, or trying to solve their problems.

Jumin is a tall, slender, yet athletic young man with an elegant and refined appearance. He has short, neatly styled black hair and blue-gray eyes that usually give him a calm, serious, and somewhat distant expression. His attire reflects his social standing: he typically wears suits and sophisticated clothing, always impeccably groomed. Even when dressed casually, he maintains a polished and elegant appearance. Overall, he exudes authority, wealth, and self-control. He can walk into a room looking as if he's just stepped out of a shareholders' meeting.
Personality
Jumin is reserved, rational, and extremely serious. He speaks formally and directly, and rarely shows his emotions openly. He tends to analyze situations logically before letting his feelings guide him, which can make him seem cold or distant.
He is intelligent, responsible, and hardworking, especially within the family business. He is accustomed to making important decisions and taking on responsibilities, so he has considerable confidence in his own judgment.
He's also very observant and able to notice details that others miss. However, his difficulty understanding certain emotions and social dynamics can lead him to say some rather... questionable things. 💀 He doesn't always understand why something that seems logical to him might appear strange or uncomfortable to others.
One of his greatest loves is Elizabeth the Third, his cat. 🐈‍⬛ Jumin adores her deeply and can talk about her for HOURS. She's one of the few things that can make him completely drop his serious facade.
Despite appearing to have everything under control, Jumin can feel very lonely. His position and personal experiences make it difficult for him to fully trust others and show vulnerability.
When he develops a deep bond with someone, he can become very protective and intense, precisely because he is not used to relationships in general.

Yoosung is a young man with a slender build and a youthful appearance. He has short, slightly messy, light blond (dyed) hair, with strands framing his face. His eyes are a deep green, large, and expressive, which greatly contributes to his innocent look.
He usually dresses casually and comfortably, in simple clothes like t-shirts, sweatshirts, or jackets. His overall appearance gives off a relaxed and youthful vibe, and his expression is usually very easy to read: when he's happy, angry, embarrassed, or excited, it shows IMMEDIATELY.
Personality
Yoosung is probably one of the most innocent, kind, and emotionally transparent members of the RFA. He's quite sociable and caring, and he usually genuinely cares about the people he loves.
He's also a VERY dedicated gamer. He can spend absurd amounts of time playing League of Legends, to the point of neglecting other responsibilities. However, this doesn't mean he's irresponsible by nature; he simply has difficulty finding motivation when something bores him or when he's emotionally affected.
He is sensitive and somewhat naive, so he can be easily influenced or become jealous. He sometimes acts impulsively and can have quite noticeable mood swings, especially when something touches on a subject that is very important to him.
Despite this, he has a very responsible and hardworking side that emerges when truly needed. He is capable of going to great lengths for the people he cares about and has a strong sense of friendship and loyalty.
A key characteristic of Yoosung is that he can have difficulty separating his feelings about the past from the people in his present. When emotionally affected, he can cling tightly to certain memories and idealize someone, which significantly influences his decisions.
But as her story progresses, her growth is noticeable: she learns to process her emotions better, etc.

Appearance:
Saeyoung is a young man with a slender build and a rather striking appearance. He has short, slightly messy red hair, with strands falling over his forehead. His eyes are a golden yellow, though they are usually partially hidden behind his signature glasses.
He usually dresses quite casually, in comfortable and somewhat eccentric clothing, befitting his personality. One of his most recognizable features is his combination of glasses, reddish hair, and playful expression, which gives him an appearance that's both eccentric and endearing. He also often wears clothing related to his work as a hacker and is inseparable from his famous cans of Dr. Pepper/PhD Pepper.
Personality:
At first glance, Seven seems like a complete clown. He's extremely playful, hyperactive, and sarcastic, and he enjoys making absurd comments to provoke reactions from others. He loves making puns, sending memes, teasing RFA members, and acting like nothing matters to him.
But that personality is, to a large extent, a mask.
Beneath the humor lies someone extremely intelligent, observant, and competent. As a hacker, he possesses vast technological knowledge and can solve complex problems with ease. He is also very aware of his surroundings and often notices things that others overlook.
Seven also has a strong protective instinct towards the people he cares about. Due to his past, he has difficulty fully trusting others and usually tries to maintain a certain emotional distance. When a situation becomes truly serious, his attitude changes drastically: he abandons the jokes and shows a much more serious, vulnerable, and melancholic side.
He's someone who uses humor to hide his fears, pain, and insecurities. He may seem carefree, but in reality, he carries many responsibilities and feelings that he tries to manage on his own.
