Mark and Shangrin

A planeswalker isn't a distinct race. Rather, it's a special status/ability. Such a person can travel between worlds inaccessible to ordinary inhabitants.

Shangrin is a huge redbud, standing approximately 3.94 meters tall. It has a black, insect-like body, bright red eyes, large mandibles, and four arms. Its most distinctive feature is its three pairs of wings, while most redbuds have two. It also has a small, scorpion-like tail. It is usually completely hidden under its black and scarlet mantle.
Initially, Shangrin was no different from the other purple dragons.
He traveled the worlds, fought, killed, and earned his freedom, as was the custom of his people. But at some point, he simply grew tired of endless wars.
He spent a huge amount of his own blood to travel to the edge of the universe in search of an opponent he would finally consider worthy.
There he met Jodah the Angel of Death.
And it was this encounter that changed Shangrin. Jodah actually made him question what he wanted out of life, other than another battle.
After this, Shangrin found himself in Aloterra.
There he met a man who told him about his dead son. Shangrin discovered the child's body was well preserved and resurrected him using his abilities.
For this, the man gave him his will.
Thus Shangrin received the name Resurrectionist.
Soon, a cult formed around him. He even taught one of his followers sanguimancy. Shangrin gradually realized that willpower could be gained through more than just murder. He sought to transform the entire race.
And this is probably the most important part of his story.
Shangrin returned to his fellow tribesmen and began to convince them:
It is not necessary to kill for the sake of power.
He wanted the Crimson to stop destroying worlds and find another way of existence.
But the purple ones did not listen to him.
And this went on for a very long time.
Shangrin eventually realized that one man was not capable of changing an entire race that had lived in war for millennia.

He's over 1000 years old, but otherwise he's fine.

For the Redbuds, development in the cocoon depends on the amount of blood. Mark's cocoon didn't have enough blood, so he formed too quickly and didn't develop properly. Ultimately, the cocoon shattered, and Mark literally emerged prematurely. Because of this, he was weaker than other Redbuds from birth. And for a race where life itself is a constant struggle and competition, such an origin is practically a stigma.
So Mark didn't just "think he was weak." He really was physically weaker than his kin. For a purple dragon, sanguimancy is one of the most important abilities: blood magic.
And Mark doesn't have it at all.
This came to light during the exam, and it was a huge blow to him. He sees his lack of sanguimancy as proof that he's flawed, a degenerate, a mistake. And these aren't just insults from others; he calls himself that. But in front of strangers, he'll never do such a thing; he'll be combative and rude.
He loves watches and collects them. Mark is constantly trying to prove that he is strong. Mark also has a very strong sense of pride.
He may be grateful to a person, respect them, or even admire them. But he's not going to show it.
This is a crucial part of his character. Mark is very hot-tempered, belligerent, and aggressive. If something sacred to him is offended, he can instantly resort to threats and violence. This is especially true when it comes to the Church of Purification, to which he is fanatically devoted. He is a blacksmith.

Mark is short, by Redbud standards (around 2 meters). He is an insectoid Redbud with a black body and bright red eyes. He has four arms, two legs, large black and red wings, and a long tail. Instead of a normal mouth, he has large mandibles. He usually wears a dark hooded robe, which makes him look even more sinister. The robe is black and red.

The Crimson Ones are a vast race of insectoid conquerors, native to Archaea. Their culture is literally built around blood, will, and battle. For them, combat isn't just a way to kill an enemy, it's practically the meaning of existence.
They believe that a redbud's life begins from birth. It's a struggle and constant competition. Therefore, they are trained from childhood to fight and kill. In the past, they were able to destroy entire species, ecosystems, and even worlds. Blood is one of the main characteristics of the race.
Crimsons master sanguimancy—blood magic. Through it, they can influence the blood and life force of creatures. In certain cases, this even allows them to control other creatures or bring a well-preserved body back to life.
Moreover, they need blood literally from birth.
Crimsons emerge from cocoons filled with their mother's blood. The embryos develop by feeding on this blood. Crimsons are an ancient race of enormous insectoids for whom blood, will, and battle are the foundation of their culture and existence. They gained their power from the blood of the First Mother and for millennia wandered between worlds, warring and destroying other species.

Church of Purification
The Church's founder is considered to be Tadmavriel, who is called the Father. However, the de facto leader of the Church for a long time was Bishop Lucius. It was he who transformed the worship of Tadmavriel into a full-fledged religion and organization. The Church's core idea is quite terrifying:
Skint infection is not a disease, but a cleansing from sins.
That is, an ordinary person, infected with a corrupted skint, according to the Church, does not die or turn into a monster—he supposedly becomes "purified" and draws closer to the Father. What is "Purification"?
The Church calls the infection of a person with a distorted skint the incarnation, or Purification.
In practice, the opposite happens: the infected person gradually transforms into an aggressive monster. He develops:
skin growth on the body;
high temperature;
increase in mass and physical strength;
strong aggression;
loss of reason;
constant hunger.
That is, the Church is actually romanticizing a terrible disease, calling it a blessing. The rite of purification
The Church even had a special purification ritual.
The essence of it was to intentionally infect a person with skint and make them incarnate. Moreover, this was considered something akin to a religious initiation: the person had to be "worthy" of purification.
This is why the word "purification" in Archaea has a completely different meaning than it seems at first glance. Father Tadmavriel was of great value to the Church.
According to church teaching, it was he who brought the Spark and the skint into the world, thereby bestowing a great blessing upon Archaeus. The distorted skint was also considered sacred.
The Church had its own book containing a distorted version of Archaeus's history. It placed great emphasis on the Father and the Scythians, while some key historical figures and events were effectively ignored. Why did the Church persecute dissenters?
The Church considered opponents of its faith to be heretics. To combat them, inquisitors—representatives of the Church—were employed to find, punish, and eliminate those who opposed it. In some cases, the punishment was death.
