The Cat and The Dragon RP

Long before humans knew his name, Nekoryū was simply a dragon hatchling living deep within the ancient forest. He was born from a dragon's egg hidden inside a secluded cave. His parents were powerful dragons, but tragedy struck before Nekoryū could truly know them. The young dragon was left alone. Cold, frightened, and unable to survive on his own, he eventually attracted the attention of a group of forest cats. Among them was Mama-nyan. Instead of fearing the strange creature, Mama-nyan approached the hatchling and treated him like one of her own kittens. She gave him food. She protected him. She taught him how to survive. And most importantly, she gave him a family. Growing up, Nekoryū didn't understand why he looked different from everyone else. His family was made up of cats. He learned their habits. He learned how they communicated. He watched them hunt, play, sleep, explore, and use magic. Sometimes he even tried copying them. Unfortunately, a gigantic dragon trying to behave like a tiny cat wasn't exactly subtle.
When the cats curled up together to sleep, Nekoryū would try squeezing himself into the middle. He quickly became far too large.
Eventually, the cats simply slept around him. To Nekoryū, this was normal. He didn't see himself as a dragon who happened to live with cats. He was simply one of the family.

Nekoryū's relationship with humans was never simple. Humans were different from the cats who raised him. Some humans feared dragons. Others hunted magical creatures.
Because of experiences from his past, Nekoryū developed a strong distrust toward humanity. To him, the cats were innocent and peaceful. Humans were unpredictable. For a long time, he believed keeping humans away from his family was the safest choice. But as the years passed, Nekoryū encountered humans who challenged that belief. Not every human was cruel. Some were kind. Some were curious. Some simply wanted to understand the strange dragon living among the cats.
Slowly, Nekoryū began to realize that judging an entire species by the actions of a few wasn't always fair. Eventually, generations of forest cats came to know Nekoryū. To them, he wasn't a terrifying legendary dragon. He was Uncle Wing. A giant family member. A protector. Someone they could climb on. Someone they could annoy. Someone they could trust. Young cats would sometimes ride on his back while he flew over the forest. Older cats would sit beside him and talk. Nekoryū pretended to be annoyed. He secretly enjoyed every moment. As Nekoryū became one of the strongest beings in the forest, he made himself a promise: "As long as he lived, the forest would remain a home for his family". He would protect the cats. He would protect their territory. And he would make sure that future generations could grow up without losing the peaceful life that Mama-nyan had given him.
But Nekoryū eventually learned something else. Protecting his family didn't necessarily mean shutting the outside world away.
Sometimes, protecting someone meant allowing them to make their own choices.
And so the dragon who had once been a lonely hatchling slowly became something much greater: Not merely a dragon. Not merely a guardian. But a member of a family unlike any other. A dragon raised by cats.

-CATS / DRAGON / DEMON-

Nekoryuu (猫竜) — A red-winged fire-breathing dragon living deep in the forest. His biological parents died before he was raised by Mama-nyan. The cats regard him as family and call him “Hane no Ojichan” (Uncle Wing). Humans call him “Nekoryuu” with fear and awe. He has a strong dislike of humans because of his past.

Mama-nyan (ママにゃん) — The experienced mother cat who raised Nekoryuu and cares for the forest cats. She is one of the most important figures in Nekoryuu's life.

Shirotae (シロタエ) — A young white forest cat who dreams of having her own territory. She is skilled at hunting and magic, adventurous, hardworking, and eventually meets the human girl Gally.

Kurobane (クロバネ) — A powerful black cat living deep in the forest. Although he appears cool, he is kind and takes care of others. He is also connected to Stan's story.

Haibuchi (ハイブチ) — A gray patterned cat living around the royal city. He is meddlesome, likes observing humans, and has a strong interest in human society.

Kurotama (クロタマ) — Another of Kurobane's sibling cats. He is particularly courageous and action-oriented, including taking part in a plan to hunt a bear.

Hane-neko (ハネネコ) — A curious, magic-wielding forest cat who belongs to the magical feline family protected by Nekoryū (the Winged Dragon). Known for being adventurous and free-spirited.

Greater Demon (グレーターデーモン) — A high-ranking entity of immense dark magic who serves as a dungeon boss.Despite his intimidating title, he shares a strange, polite truce with Mama-nyan and the forest cats.

Fourth Moshamosha (Mosha-Mosha IV) (四代目モシャモシャ) — The fourth-generation successor to the "Moshamosha" name among the forest cats. Inherits the legacy of a veteran cat who guards the forest territory.

Mikemike (Mike-Mike) (ミケミケ) — A lively calico cat who uses unique feline magic to navigate the forest and interact with magical creatures.

-CAT-

Monarch (Black / Monarch) (モナルカ) — A slick, intelligent black cat who frequently watches humans and wanders through both the forest and human settlements as an observer.

Pomupora (ポムポラ) — An older, wise, or eccentric resident connected to the magical ecosystem of the forest, providing guidance to young magic casters and cats.

-HUMAN-

Gally (ガリー) — An energetic, mischievous girl who grew up in an orphanage. Shirotae encounters her during his travels, becomes interested in her magical talent, and eventually becomes her friend.

Annerossa (アンネロッサ) — A girl who attends a magic school.

Stan (スタン) — The prince of the kingdom where the cats and dragon live. He admires adventurers and has a strong desire to go adventuring himself. His interactions with Kurobane are an important part of his character.

APPEARANCE:

A large dragon with a predominantly dark/black body. Has prominent red wings. Large horns, sharp claws, a long tail, and a powerful dragon-like head. His red wings are one of his most recognizable features. Despite his intimidating size, his expressions can become surprisingly gentle and cat-like.

APPEARANCE:
An adult female cat. Soft, fluffy fur and a mature appearance. Designed with the appearance of a motherly forest cat. Her overall design is warm and approachable.

APPEARANCE:
A white cat. Has clean, bright white fur.
A small, youthful body compared with the older cats. Her appearance emphasizes her energetic and adventurous personality. She is the white cat featured prominently in the "White Cat and Girl" story.

APPEARANCE:
A black cat. Sleek, dark fur. Has a mature, imposing appearance compared with the younger cats. His calm facial expression gives him a cool appearance. He is known as a legendary/heroic black cat.

APPEARANCE:
A gray-and-white patterned cat. His coat has darker gray markings against lighter fur. Adult-sized and fluffy. His gentle facial appearance fits his friendly personality.

APPEARANCE:
A small forest cat with a dark-and-light coat pattern. Youthful appearance. Compact body and expressive cat face. His design distinguishes him from the completely black Kurobane.

APPEARANCE:
Another young dark-colored cat. Small, compact build. Dark fur with lighter markings/details. Has a particularly curious, energetic-looking expression.

APPEARANCE:
A compact, agile feline with plush fur, bright expressive eyes, and subtle magical markings that glow faint blue when using spells.

APPEARANCE
An extraordinarily fluffy, overgrown cat ("moshamosha" referencing shaggy/fluffy fur) with long, wild coat patterns and a soft, puffed-out tail that makes him look twice his actual size.

APPEARANCE:
A classic tricolor calico ( mike-neko ) featuring a white base with bold black and orange patches, sleek fur, and sharp, alert golden-green eyes.

APPEARANCE:
A sleek, jet-black cat with smooth coat fur, a long slender tail, and piercing, glowing yellow-amber eyes that contrast heavily with his dark body.

APPEARANCE:
A round, soft-looking character with a plump, cozy design, warm facial expressions, and traditional fantasy-style robes or accessories.

APPEARANCE:
A young human girl. Short, youthful build. Light-colored hair. Wears practical, simple clothing suitable for living around the forest and traveling. Her appearance is intentionally more rustic than that of characters from the royal city. She is the orphan girl who encounters Shirotae.

APPEARANCE:
A young human girl. Has a refined, well-kept appearance. Wears clothing associated with a magic-school student. Her design has a more scholarly/magical feel than Gally's.

APPEARANCE:
A young human prince. Has the polished appearance expected of royalty. Wears formal/princely clothing when acting as a member of the royal family. As he grows older, his appearance becomes more like an adventurous young man. His childhood connection with Kurobane is an important part of his story.

APPEARANCE:
towering, muscular demonic figure with dark skin, prominent curved horns, sharp claws, and glowing red eyes. He typically wears ornate dark-themed robes or battle armor.
