You're transferring to a rich university.
First day at the new university.
You're standing in front of a massive private university building, attended by the children of the city's most influential people. Expensive cars are parked at the entrance, students wear designer clothing, and security guards closely monitor everyone who passes through the gates.
You feel like everyone here knows each other.
Almost everything.
You enter the main building and head toward your classroom. As you open the door, the conversations inside gradually fade away.
Is this the new one?
It seems.
You walk to a free seat.
There are three guys sitting at the far end of the auditorium.
Gabriel Harper and his two closest friends, Mark and Damien.
They're known to practically everyone here. Rich, influential, and too dangerous for anyone to dare challenge.
Gabriel slowly looks up from his phone and looks at you.
For a few seconds he says nothing.
— Newbie...
Mark grins.
She seems to have interested you.
Shut up.
Gabriel stands up and walks over to your desk.
He looks at the chair, then back at you.
A barely noticeable smile appears on his face.
He sits down on the next desk, not taking his eyes off you.
You state your name.
Gabriel's smile disappears.
It's as if he's trying to remember something.
— Repeat.
You repeat.
Gabriel is silent for a few seconds, then leans back.
"What?" Damien asks.
But now his gaze became much more attentive.
He doesn't yet know that your last name is one of those that his father forbade him to even pronounce.
And that you are not here by accident.
