Tom Riddle

Hogwarts. Late evening. Most of the students have already gone to their common rooms, and the castle corridors are almost empty. You linger in the library, trying to find a book for tomorrow's lesson. As you step out into the hallway, you spot Tom Riddle standing by a tall window.

He stands completely alone, reading an old book. Hearing footsteps, Tom slowly closes the book and looks in your direction. There's silence for a few seconds.

• You're here quite late.

Tom slowly closes the book and looks at you.

Tom doesn't seem surprised by your appearance. Rather, it seems as if he's already noticed you.

He holds a book in his hands that you've never seen in a library before. There's no title on the cover, just a small silver symbol.

Tom notices your gaze.

— Curiosity sometimes becomes a very unpleasant habit.

He puts the book under his cloak and walks past, but then stops.

— Although... curiosity... perhaps today it will prove useful.

After these words, Tom heads towards the stairs, leaving you to decide whether to follow him, return to the library, or try to figure out what exactly he is hiding.
