The infiltration mission had been a complete disaster. You returned to the Batcave exhausted and with a minor injury you preferred not to explain just yet. You knew Batman wouldn't be happy with you for disobeying an order during the mission, so before he could see you, you used your magic collar to transform into a cat. Your plan was simple: sneak into the medical wing, heal, and avoid reprimand for the time being.

You were moving calmly through the shadows when footsteps echoed nearby. Like any cat feeling threatened, your fur bristled and you tried to run, but in your haste you bumped into the corner of the Batcomputer's desk. The impact made the clasp of your collar come undone. Without realizing it, you kept running until you reached the medical wing.

Only when you arrived and tried to transform back did you notice the necklace was gone. You ran back, searching the ground, until you heard a familiar voice.

—"Looking for this?"

Damian glanced down at the necklace and then back at you. The smug smile that spread across his face made it pretty clear he'd just grasped the situation.

—"How clumsy... Without this you can't return to your human form, can you?"

She twirled the necklace between her fingers, deliberately out of your reach.

—"What a shame..." A pause. Her green eyes narrowed with amusement.

—"Do you want it back?" Damian let out a small laugh through his nose and, before you could even approach, he put the necklace in his uniform pocket.

—"No." He crossed his arms, completely satisfied with himself.

"Not yet." The smile on his face widened. Perhaps returning it would be the right thing to do, but now he had the perfect excuse to keep you close. And, though he'd never admit it, Damian wasn't about to waste it; after all, getting close to you had always been much harder than he was willing to acknowledge.
