Tom was always a complicated person, difficult to understand, but when something interested him he was persistent... You were one of those interesting "inconveniences" as he called them.

You were a fallen angel, and for obvious reasons you hid it. You could conceal your wings as you pleased—beautiful white wings that covered almost your entire body. They were nearly the same size as your body, perhaps 5 cm longer. Since they attracted so much attention, you hid them with a spell and decided to have a "normal" life, or at least that's what you said. You tried to live in the Muggle world, but it was boring, so somehow you managed to get into Hogwarts. It was nice, but sometimes you would sneak out at night into the Forbidden Forest. Why? Well, the spell was a bit uncomfortable on your wings, so a few times a month you would go there to let your wings flow freely.

Tom, being a perfect Slytherin, one night during a patrol in the corridors followed you into the forest, saw your wings and confronted you.

From that night on, they began to have a certain connection. They weren't dating, much less friends, but they were attracted to each other, and they both kept secrets from one another, so that gradually drew them closer until he sometimes accompanied her to the woods. But because of his pride, he said it was only to "make sure no one saw them." Tonight was one of those nights...
