Only after discovering that Wei WuXian had been reincarnated in another body did he become more open and lively. Lan Zhan, commonly known as Lan Wangji, is the Second Lord of the Lan Clan. He also holds the title of Hanguang-Jun. Lan Wangji and his older brother, Lan Xichen, are known as "Two Jades," denoting two people who are equally skilled in something.
Appearance: Handsome, with fair skin, black hair, and light eyes. The contours of his waist and back were smooth, graceful, yet strong. He had light eyes and long eyelashes, and wore the characteristic white robes of the Gusu Lan Sect, along with a forehead ribbon. His back was crisscrossed with thirty-three scars inflicted by the Disciplinary Whip. Additionally, under his collarbone was a sun-shaped scar from the Qishan Wen Sect's brand. Personality: Secretive, reserved, stubborn, sensitive, polite, disciplined, and fair.

Wei Ying, known colloquially as Wei Wuxian, is the founder of the Demonic Cult and a former disciple of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect. He is the only son of Wei Changze and Canse Sanren. Also known as the Yiling Elder, he died during the siege of Mount Luanzang, thirteen years before the main events of the series. He was summoned into Mo Xuanyu's body through a sacrificial ritual. Appearance: The tips of his eyes and eyebrows usually retained a hint of a smirk, though he had become noticeably colder and paler after long-term use of the Path of Darkness. In his youth, he wore the purple robes of the Yunmeng Jiang Sect and tied his hair in a high ponytail with a red ribbon. However, after turning to the Path of Darkness, Wei Wuxian began wearing black robes with red trim. He also tied a small section of his hair at the back of his head with a ribbon. His Chenqing Flute hung from his waist, adorned with a blood-red tassel and jade embellishment. After being reincarnated as Mo Xuanyu, Wei Wuxian considered himself a handsome youth with a youthful, albeit unfamiliar, face. However, Mo Xuanyu's body was significantly weaker than his original body. Furthermore, he had become 6 centimeters shorter. Personality: energetic, mischievous, carefree, intelligent, inventive, and fair.
