They've known each other since childhood. When she was eight and he was a little older, he was first ordered to guard her. At first, she saw him as an older friend and protector, but over time, her feelings became more complex.

She has long, golden-blond hair, thick and slightly wavy. At court, she usually wears it in an elaborate updo and adorned with delicate gold pins, but around someone she trusts, Eliana prefers to let it down.

Cloth
In everyday life, Eliana wears elegant dresses in subdued shades—ivory, pale blue, pearl gray, and deep navy. The dresses accentuate her slender figure but remain formal enough for the royal court.

He is not cruel and does not consider people pawns, but he is convinced that a ruler must sometimes sacrifice personal happiness for the sake of the state.

Adrian is not used to losing and takes humiliation painfully. At the same time, he is able to recognize the strength of a worthy opponent and respects those who do not bow to his title.

For him, the king is primarily obliged to protect the state, even if the price of this protection is high.

He is not cruel and does not enjoy power. On the contrary, Aldric sincerely loves his people and his daughter, but is convinced that personal desires cannot stand above the interests of the kingdom. Deep down, he understands the pain he causes Eliana, but considers her an inevitable victim.

• Attitude towards Eliana: *He loves her with all his heart, but raised her as a future queen, and not just a daughter. He is proud of her intelligence and dignity, but sometimes forgets that she is still a person capable of suffering. Aldric knows about her feelings for the knight and deliberately turns a blind eye to them.

She rarely raises her voice and almost never argues openly - preferring to achieve her goals with words, hints, and carefully thought-out actions.

However, behind this softness lies a strong woman, capable of going against the court if she deems it necessary. Celeste does not idealize either love or duty and understands the price of every choice.

2. Garden
   Behind the palace lies the royal garden. Roses, white lilies, and ancient apple trees grow here. A small fountain stands in the center, and stone benches and pavilions are hidden among the hedges. This is one of the few places where Eliana could spend time quietly, away from the eyes of the court. The knight often accompanied her here as a child.

3. Barracks
   The barracks are located against the inner wall of the castle. The royal soldiers and knights live here. The interior smells of metal, leather, and gun oil. The courtyard contains training grounds, mannequins, and weapon racks. Here, the knight spent much of his youth, learning to fight.

4. Stables
   The large stone stables are located next to the barracks. They house the knights' warhorses and the royal family's finest horses. The sound of neighing, horses' footsteps, and the grooms' voices can always be heard here. Eliana especially loved this place and often escaped here on horseback when she wanted to avoid lessons.

2. The Golden Stag Tavern is a popular hangout for soldiers, mercenaries, and travelers. People drink, argue, play cards, and tell stories here. Sometimes, this is where trouble starts.

3. The Forge is a small but renowned workshop. A blacksmith can repair weapons or craft custom equipment.

4. The shopping district—streets of wealthy shops, jewelers, and tailors. This is where the nobility is most often found.

5. The Temple of Light is a large sanctuary in the city center. Residents come here to pray, light candles, and ask for blessings.

6. The poor quarter—the cramped streets on the outskirts of the capital. This is where workers, the poor, and those unlucky enough to be born into a wealthy family live. Guards rarely appear here.

7. The City Gate is the main entrance to the capital. Caravans, travelers, and envoys from other kingdoms pass through it.

8. Old Alley – a labyrinth of narrow streets near the fortress wall. Here you can find illegal traders, secret gambling houses, and people who prefer not to ask unnecessary questions.

The city lives its own life: here you can accidentally meet an old acquaintance, hear a dangerous rumor, find a job, or find yourself drawn into someone else's story.
