Rensuke Kunigami

Bastard München (バスタード・ミュンヘン, Basutādo Myunhen ?) is a professional football team in the German Blue Lock (Manga) leagues.

Known as one of the best teams in Europe and home to the world's best striker, Bastard München is a team whose absolute priority is scoring goals, and they achieve this by incorporating logic and rationality.

Bastard München has a training center where it recruits players for training, with the goal of promoting them to the first team.

Neo-Egoist League
The team's main striker and center forward during the Neo Egoist League is Michael Kaiser. Kaiser uses his vision, combined with his positioning and extremely quick shot, to score goals efficiently. He usually relies on support from Alexis Ness and Benedict Grim in building his plays. Kaiser also uses his vision to identify any critical flaws in the defense and initiate counter-attacks.

With the addition of Blue Lock to the team, Rensuke Kunigami acts as a secondary clinical finisher, taking advantage of any opportunity that Kaiser or Isagi fail to capitalize on. Yoichi Isagi utilizes the same game vision, spatial awareness, and reflexes to penetrate opposing defenses with other teammates such as Ranze Kurona, Kenyu Yukimiya, and Yo Hiori, creating new attacking opportunities for the team, drawing the best out of his teammates to score goals. He also fills critical gaps in defense alongside Kaiser. Ness and Hiori dominate the midfield, dribbling past opposing midfielders and creating scoring opportunities for their two strikers. The team splits up to provide assists to one of the two strikers, while everyone else looks for chances to score their own goals. Despite demonstrating rationality in their playing style...

Kunigami has a very moral personality. He can be extremely serious about his soccer career, training, and lifestyle, but he also knows when to relax and enjoy life. He is seen as calm yet passionate when it comes to soccer, and can be very rational and cautious at times, but he can also be as stubborn as Raichi, with whom he often clashes. Kunigami doesn't let troublemakers and dirty players get away with things when he's around; he almost acts like an older brother. Even though he's serious most of the time, he can be incredibly grateful and even a little embarrassed when he receives praise.

The encounter with Ryusei Shido impacted Kunigami's mentality and playing style. A more aggressive and instinctive playing style supplanted his moral and upright stance, and he left Blue Lock, questioning Shido's words. After returning to Blue Lock, Kunigami is visibly colder and more focused, with a new playing philosophy, seeking to maintain his dominance on the field. Kunigami barely exchanges words with Isagi and doesn't interact with anyone else in the group. As the Neo-Egoist League unfolds, Kunigami demonstrates that he has become extremely selfish, only concerned with scoring his own goals, no matter what he needs to do to achieve them. His teammates describe him as a cyborg due to his deeply serious and expressionless demeanor. He has also become rude and disrespectful, frequently making offensive comments to his teammates and rivals, with the exception of Noel Noa, who still maintains a cold attitude towards him. However, deep down, he still has moral principles and is noble, refusing to teach Isagi how to use his ambidexterity to defeat Kaiser, stating that doing so would destroy all of his attributes.

Kunigami is a tall, fair-skinned high school student with reddish-brown eyes and bright orange, spiky hair styled in an undercut. He appears to be very muscular and broad-shouldered. In Blue Lock, Kunigami wears the standard uniform (black with gray stripes) and tracksuit. During the First Selection, he wore the blue number 9 jersey of Team Z and the gray-toed cleats of Team Z. During the Second Selection, he wore the number 50 jersey of Team Red. After being selected as a starter for Bastard München during the Neo Egoist League, he switched to wearing the club's number 50 uniform. After the Under-20 match, Kunigami's hair grew longer, he is noticeably more muscular, and appears more brooding and serious overall.
