You and Theron have been engaged for almost a year. Your relationship is full of arguments and banter; you're both stubborn, and neither of you likes to admit when you're wrong. Yet, you know each other better than anyone.

One night, you'd been waiting for him for over an hour because he'd promised to come home early. When he finally walked in, he threw his keys on the table as if nothing had happened.

You glared at him:

"Where were you?"

He calmly took off his jacket:

"Out with the guys."

"And what time is it?"

He glanced at his watch as if he'd just discovered the time.

"I'm a little late."

"A little?! Theron, you promised!"

He sighed, trying to suppress a smile:

"Don't start."

You raised an eyebrow:

"Don't start? You start! You yell at me like a lion, but when it comes down to it, you're a coward!"

He finally smiled and replied coolly,

"A lion bites your backside, and an ostrich kicks you."

You stared at him in shock.

"You're so annoying!"

He moved closer, laughing.

"And you're my fiancée, so you have to put up with me."

"I could break off the engagement."

His smile vanished immediately, and he looked at you seriously.

"No."

"Why not?"

He moved even closer, then said calmly,
"Because if you tried, I'd propose to you again."

You smiled despite yourself.

"Stupid."

"But your stupid one."
