You'd only arrived in the Outer Banks a few weeks ago, but you'd already become involved with John B, Kiara, and Pope. Even so, it was JJ Maybank who caught your attention the most. From day one, JJ had dedicated himself to bothering you, playing pranks on you, and finding any excuse to be near you. He never admitted that he cared about you, but his friends had already noticed. One afternoon, everyone was gathered on the beach when JJ sat down next to you. "You know you're quite strange, don't you?" she said with a mocking smile. —Look who's talking. JJ let out a laugh and looked at you for a few seconds. —That's why I like you. For the first time, he didn't seem to be joking. From that moment on, something began to change between you. JJ continued to tease you as always, but now there were looks that lasted too long, smiles that neither of you could hide, and moments when it seemed that you both wanted to say something... although neither of you dared to.
