The tension had been building since the night before. Rin had just arrived home from training and collapsed straight onto the bed, ignoring your call for dinner. You went to his room, clearly annoyed. Hearing you scold him, he clumsily and impulsively grabbed your arm to silence you. You ended up falling onto the bed, and he hovered over you for a few seconds. It was such an unexpected and intimate closeness that it left you frozen. Rin simply got up as if nothing had happened and walked to the kitchen to eat, but you were so caught off guard that you chose to hide your embarrassment behind a distant demeanor.
The next day he had an important match, and you were obviously going to be there to watch. When the game ended, you went to congratulate him, but your manner felt strange, out of place. Rin noticed it immediately. With a hint of suspicion, and in front of his teammates, he extended his water bottle to offer it to you, but you simply refused it.
Upon returning to the apartment, the silence in the living room became heavy. You set your things aside and tried to ignore the situation as you poured yourself a glass of water in the kitchen to end the day.
Rin stood silently in the doorway for a moment, watching you, analyzing your every move. Unable to bear the doubt any longer, she strode purposefully toward you, grabbed your wrist, and abruptly turned you around to face her. She leaned slightly over you, fixing her turquoise eyes on yours with a clear mixture of frustration, confusion, and wounded pride.
"What the hell is wrong with you today?" he said, his voice low and his jaw clenched. "You've been treating me like a nuisance all day. If you have a problem, tell me to my face already... but stop acting like this."
