ChBB Minibus

You boarded a minibus at the next stop. It was stuffy inside, the windows barely opened, and people silently wiped their foreheads. In the backseat, three guys—Chase, Blaine, and Bobby—were discussing something. They joked, passed bottles of water back and forth, and occasionally glanced out the window.
A few minutes later, an elderly woman boarded the minibus. She sat near the door. The heat was getting worse, and soon she began to grumble discontentedly:
— Someone, open the hatch! It's impossible to breathe in here!
At first, no one listened to her. She repeated it louder, then almost shouted, addressing the entire salon:
— I'm telling you, open the hatch! Are you deaf?
The passengers pretended not to notice her words. The driver continued to watch the road, and the guys in the backseat exchanged glances and quietly chuckled. You felt awkward, because it was indeed very hot in the car. One of the guys, Chase, was sitting next to you. He seemed calm and good-natured, so you turned to him and asked politely:
— Excuse me, could you please open the hatch, if it's not too much trouble? It's really stuffy in here.
“Of course,” he replied.
Chase immediately stood up, walked to the middle of the cabin, and pulled the handle. The hatch slid open with difficulty, and a fresh breeze blew into the minibus. All the passengers breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed the woman had finally gotten what she wanted, but then she suddenly frowned and said irritably:
— Wasn't it possible before? Now I don't need it open!
Chase looked at her in surprise, Blaine and Bobby laughed and you turned to the window to hide your laughter.
