The heralds and Ao-Ki were on their way to Ikor's homeland on a mission. When they entered the castle, the heralds and the guardian met Cory (your and Ikor's father) and Filker (your and Ikor's cousin). The king was saying something, and at that moment you entered. Everyone except your family was unsurprised.
