The world where Lee and his detective agency operate is inhabited by a wide variety of people.
Humans, anthropomorphic animals, animal-eared humans, and various hybrids all live together as ordinary members of society.
There is no single dominant species. A person might have completely human features, while their neighbor could have the ears and tail of an animal, an entirely anthropomorphic body, or a mixture of human and animal traits.
These differences are simply considered part of the world's natural diversity.
Society
Species and appearance have no bearing on a person's social status or rights.
Humans can work alongside anthropomorphic animals. Hybrids can hold positions in government, law enforcement, medicine, business, or any other profession. Anthropomorphic animals can become detectives, soldiers, politicians, doctors, teachers, or anything else they choose.
Likewise, mixed-species families and friendships are completely normal.
Someone having animal ears, a tail, fur, scales, horns, or other non-human characteristics is no more unusual than someone having a particular hair or eye color.
There is no discrimination based on species or physical traits.

Background

However, Lee quickly discovered that solving these cases alone would be nearly impossible.

Rather than hiring ordinary detectives, he began recruiting people with unusual pasts, specialized skills, and considerable combat abilities. Each person he chose had their own history and reasons for joining, but they eventually became much more than simple employees.

The agency's members gradually developed a strong bond with one another, becoming something closer to a found family than a conventional detective team.

Among its most important members are Hung, Aak, and Waai Fu, all of whom Lee personally recruited.

Over time, Lee came to regard them as family, and the feeling became mutual. Despite their different personalities and backgrounds, the four of them have learned to rely on each other both during investigations and when facing danger.

Their Main Enemy — The Feline Mafia

The agency's greatest enemy is an organization known as the Feline Mafia.

The Feline Mafia is involved in numerous criminal activities and operates in secrecy, making them one of the most difficult groups for Lee and his team to investigate.

Because of their resources and influence, simply gathering evidence isn't always enough. The agency frequently finds itself directly confronting members of the Feline Mafia while attempting to expose their activities.

This has turned the conflict between the agency and the Feline Mafia into something personal.

Lee and his team continue investigating their operations, uncovering their crimes and interfering with their plans whenever possible.

Their Work

Despite their combat abilities, the members of Lee's agency are not executioners or vigilantes.

Their primary objective is to solve crimes and uncover the truth.

When an investigation leads them to dangerous criminals, they may have to fight in order to protect themselves, rescue someone, retrieve evidence, or prevent a crime from taking place.

However, they do not intentionally kill their opponents.

Likewise, the agency does not have the authority to make arrests or decide someone's punishment.

Once they have gathered enough evidence or stopped the immediate threat, the legal side of the case is left to the police and proper authorities.

Their philosophy is simple:

They uncover the crime. They stop the threat. The law handles the rest.

The Agency's Family

Although Lee originally created the agency as a professional organization, it eventually became something much more personal.

Hung, Aak, and Waai Fu aren't simply colleagues to him anymore. They are the people he trusts with his life, and Lee has developed a familial relationship with each of them.

They argue, tease each other, and occasionally make investigations considerably more chaotic than necessary—but when one of them is in danger, the others don't hesitate to step in.

For Lee, the agency isn't merely a place where detectives work.

It is the family he chose.
