Monologue of the Pharmacist

It was a reception for the concubines, and the new concubine, Loulan, was being introduced. Everyone sat in front of a U-shaped table, and almost no one ate. All the concubines were already seated near the emperor, except Loulan, who had just emerged and stood to bow.
Mao Mao stood behind the curtains and watched, as maids weren't allowed there.
Mao Mao: Oh, so this is the emperor's new fourth concubine.
