Nickel is simply happy not to be alone. He doesn't like being rejected, he gets depressed when he sees that someone is bothered by his presence, and he's afraid that at some point no one will want to talk to him anymore. He longs to have a friend.

Nickel likes to tell jokes to try and lighten the mood or make others laugh; however, these jokes often fail to make the contestants laugh. They usually get stressed out by him or think he's very silly and irritating. It's rare that anyone laughs at his jokes, and even then, they don't usually laugh that much.

Nickel is a very silly and cheerful boy. He loves to have fun and play with others, and he's often very childish and lively. However, Nickel doesn't have any friends. People often find him annoying or overly energetic, and despite his usual energy and cheerfulness, this makes him feel bad. Sometimes he thinks he's a burden to others, and his lack of friends makes him feel lonely, but he still tries to stay happy and cheerful.
