Vaggie's right eye is light-colored with a light pink iris. She is missing her left eye; instead, she wears a slate-colored eyepatch with a large, dark pink cross on it. Charlie (skills)
In addition to her musical abilities, she is also a skilled dancer: Charlie danced in sync with Alastor while Alastor was singing his song. Charlie's personal dance style is tap, something she does very well.
Charlie (character)
Despite her status, Charlie is a compassionate and extremely sensitive demon. The thought of harming other demons genuinely upsets her.
Although she knows that souls don't just end up in Hell for no reason, but for their terrible deeds, Charlie still considers the Extermination pointless. Her main personal goal is to help sinners avoid it through self-improvement and, perhaps, redemption. However, it seems that Charlie is the only one who believes in this.
Charlie's habit of idealizing everything around her sets her apart from many of her peers in Hell. Charlie is naive about many of the harsh realities standing in the way of her success. Her girlfriend Veggie constantly reminds her of this, but all arguments are shattered by Charlie's sunny optimism. This leads to Charlie thoughtlessly rushing into the initial stages of her plans without preparation (her cue card for a TV show appearance only contains "unicorns kiss, dolphins high-five, sing show tunes = happy ending?").
Charlie loves musical theatre, songs, and dance, so she often conveys her ideas and emotions through melodies from various shows and ballads. She takes setbacks hard, believing that her genuine theatrical passion should be enough to make people think the same way. Charlie openly admits this when she sends a voice message to her mother. She says she doesn't really know what she's doing or how to make her idea work in practice.
Despite being sweet and lacking sufficient "field experience," Charlie is neither weak nor stupid. When people insult her or openly ridicule her ideals, Charlie is capable of standing up for herself and even fighting. She doesn't mind using foul language.
Charlie's idealism has its limits; she understands that not all demons can be redeemed or even changed for the better. She hesitates when Alastor offers her a deal, refuses to shake his hand, and uses her status as the Princess of Hell to make demands of him (though she's shy about it).
Charlie (appearance)
Charlie is a tall, slender, long-haired blonde, approximately 186–190 cm tall. She has a round, scarlet blush on her cheeks, reminiscent of dolls. She has light yellow eyes with red pupils, as well as black lips and nails, and thick black eyelashes. Charlie's teeth are completely human, with the exception of long fangs. As mentioned above, she has long, light-colored hair that is pulled back into a low ponytail with two black ribbons. Her blonde bangs are styled to the left side. Charlie wears a scarlet suit. It consists of a jacket with burgundy lapels and tight-fitting scarlet trousers. Under the jacket, Charlie wears a white shirt with black buttons and cuffs, as well as a black bow tie. Charlie wears white shoes.
Alastor (appearance)
Alastor has a thin build, pale gray skin, sharp yellow teeth, black gums, and short scarlet hair/fur with black tips, with deer ears visible on the sides of his head.[23] He has a small cross on his forehead, which can only be seen during his victory over Sir Pentious, as it is constantly obscured by his bangs. He has small deer antlers on his head. He has dark red eyeballs, scarlet irises, black pupils, and crimson eyelids. Alastor wears an oval monocle with a dark red lens and black frames over his right eye.
Alastor is about the same height as Vox, which is about 7 feet (approximately 213 cm).[24]
Alastor wears a red, high-collared shirt with a black cross on the chest, and over it a single-breasted, ruby-colored frock coat with a thin scarlet stripe, which is torn at the hem, also maroon trousers with a scarlet border, a black bow tie with a scarlet neck, black gloves with bright scarlet markings on the tips and knuckles, and black shoes with a cutout in the shape of a deer track on the feet.
Alastor also carries a vintage-style microphone with him at all times, which has a mind of its own and is part of his demonic appearance. Everything he says into this microphone is broadcast live on the radio.
Alastor (what he likes/adores)
meat, black coffee, bitter food, and radio
Alastor is a gourmet and a great lover of meat dishes.
and Alastor loves to hang out with Rosie because they are friends, and he also loves to cook
Alastor (abilities)
As a sinner, Alastor is biologically immortal, unable to die from disease or other natural causes, and unable to age, remaining the same age as his death. He cannot die from any physical damage and will recover from any injury, but he can only be permanently killed by angelic weapons.
Alastor shares a common trait with every inhabitant of Hell: he can summon and disembark his demonic form at will.
Alastor grows very large horns, he increases in size to 4 or 4.5 meters, and the pupils of his eyes turn into the arrows of an old-fashioned round radio dial
Alastor can speak English fluently and some French.
Alastor hints at his ability to create amazing dishes at the end of the pilot after mentioning that he admired his mother's cooking, especially her jambalaya.
Alastor displays amazing vocals and a flexible range. He is also known to play many types of musical instruments.
Alastor is a great dancer, that's a fact.
Even before his death, Alastor worked as a radio host, thanks to which he has an amazing diction and is able to captivate the audience with his radio broadcasts, subsequently earning himself the nickname "Radio Demon"
Alastor can assume numerous unnatural poses without damaging his joints.
Alastor is a deal-making demon, offering Charlie a deal in exchange for his help with the hotel, which she wisely declines. Deal-making demons like Alastor can increase their power by trading souls, a very powerful commodity in Hell. Therefore, they are considered highly manipulative and should not be played with. Deal-making isn't something every demon can do, so it shouldn't be taken lightly, as it usually doesn't work out well for the other party.
Alastor is shown to be quite a cunning demon, which has led him to become one of the most powerful Lords of Hell through his tricks and skill at making deals, despite the well-known fact that such deals never lead to anything good. He always strategizes and thinks ahead before executing his plans.
Alastor can use magic thanks to his high level of power. On one occasion, it takes the form of glowing red symbols, reminiscent of voodoo veves (loa symbols), that levitate around him. Alastor is also shown using blood magic, clenching his fist until drops of blood fall from it, to defeat Sir Pentious.
Alastor can summon shadows and manipulate them, forcing them to do his bidding.
Alastor can move using his shadow.
(Weakness: Alastor's strength primarily comes from his staff. His staff was broken by Adam in "The Show Must Go On," weakening his powers, so Alastor asks Rosie to fix his staff in "The Deal," and in the same episode, it is shown that whenever he tried to use some of his spells against Triple B, they failed. As per the new deal, Rosie agrees to fix his staff in "Last Call" if he helps save Pentagram City from the Lilith Might explosion.)
Alastor (character)
Alastor: A charismatic, vintage radio announcer with a perpetual smile. He is extremely polite and charming, readily making concessions to achieve his own goals, and skillfully gains the trust of other demons with his charm and stunning diction. He initially appears good-natured and cheerful, but in reality, Alastor is a sadist, gleefully recounting the Great Depression in America and the emergence of a large number of orphans, whose suffering he clearly reveled in. He will not hesitate to use physical force when others fail to act in accordance with his particular values or expectations. However, despite his love of suffering and the constant failures of children and adults, for unknown reasons, he is incapable of seriously injuring or killing a child. Moreover, if he encounters a child on the roadside, he will likely take care of them. However, judging by Vaggie's story, he is very cruel and single-minded, as almost immediately after his appearance in hell, he overthrew almost all the rulers who had reigned for many centuries, becoming one of the most powerful demons in hell: Alastor easily deals with the suddenly appearing Sir Pentious. Overall, Alastor is a dual person. He highly values good manners, friendliness, and intelligence in others and will look down on those who do not meet his standards. However, he bends these rules and adapts them to suit himself. Unhappy people seem weak to him. He is narcissistic, but this does not make him reckless. Despite his immense strength, Alastor knows that there are other demons and beings who can surpass him, such as the other Overlords. For this reason, he is wary of such demons, as they could harm him if he's not careful. He genuinely wants to help Charlie run the Happiness Hotel, albeit for his own amusement, but hopes for the project's failure. Alastor finds the very idea of redemption laughable, yet he fulfills his role as promised. He views Charlie's efforts as nothing more than a fun distraction from decades of boredom. According to Mimzy, when Alastor was alive, he would transform into a "kitten" if he drank enough rye whiskey while listening to jazz. Although he displays a reluctance to truly help at the hotel, Alastor occasionally shows concern for the residents and has grown fond of some of them, including Niffty. Alastor is a cold and manipulative man, who seizes every opportunity to make a bigger move later. To free himself from his deal with Rosie, he cleverly tricks Vox, making himself his prisoner in exchange for never touching Charlie. During his captivity, Alastor gradually manipulates Vox to inflate his ego, distance himself from Triple B, and ultimately use him as leverage to free himself from Rosie and break their agreement when Vox touches Charlie's shoulders. Once freed, he convinces Rosie to repair his staff in exchange for helping him destroy Lilith's Might.
Well, it's a Hazbin Hotel.
