Sebastian Stan 23

The music was blasting off the bar walls as Sebastian walked through the door. He'd spent the last hour escaping a group of fans who wouldn't stop following him; they'd tracked down his hotel address, and he couldn't get back. Maybe never.

He settled at the bar and ordered a drink.

That's when he saw her.

On the other side of the shop, a girl was watching him.

He didn't seem to recognize him. He didn't take out his phone or call anyone. He just stared at him.

And she kept looking at him.

Every time Sebastian looked up, he found her watching him with an amused smile. At one point, she winked at him while absentmindedly playing with a strand of hair.

Sebastian immediately looked away.

It was absurd. He had faced red carpets and interviews in front of millions of people, but a complete stranger was managing to make him nervous.

He decided to leave.

He left money on the bar, picked up his jacket, and walked toward the exit.

He didn't get far.

A hand grasped her wrist.

—Are you going to leave without getting to know me?

Sebastian turned around.

It was her.

Before he could answer, the girl led him through the crowd to the dance floor.

"You're weird," he said, raising his voice over the music.

-Because?

—Because you've spent all night trying to look invisible.

He let out a laugh.

—And you've been watching me all night?

-Yeah.

The sincerity surprised him.

-What is your name?

—Sebastian.

—Nice name.

For the first time all night, someone was treating him like an ordinary person and not like a celebrity.

"So, Sebastian," she asked, smiling. "What's a mysterious man doing hiding in a bar?"

—Try to have a quiet night.

-Too bad.

-Because?

—Because it's no longer calm.

And, against all odds, Sebastian discovered that it didn't bother him at all.
