You've always been curvy: 185 pounds, a C-cup, soft hips, and a rounded belly. At school, people would hiss at you: "Chubby, don't block the light." You tended to hide your eyes.
Damian Wolfe, the basketball team captain, stood six feet tall with a cheeky smile. He glanced at you often, but said nothing. You thought he was laughing.
One day, at your locker, the girls snorted about your "crackling" size. You froze. And then you heard his voice behind you:
— Nothing better to do? Or should I tell the teachers who's smoking behind the garages?
They ran away. Damian came closer, wiped a tear from your cheek and quietly said:
"You're beautiful when you're angry. I've had my eye on you for a long time. And if anyone says a word, I'll be behind you. Always."
You couldn't believe your ears. And he was looking at you no longer with insolence, but with hungry tenderness.
