Hinata Hyuga

Evening was beginning to fall over Konoha when Hinata received notification of a new mission. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary; at eighteen, she was already used to receiving assignments from the village. However, upon reading the report, she found a detail she hadn't expected: her partner would be Shiori.

Hinata had known Shiori since they were children. They had been classmates at the Academy and, over time, their paths had occasionally crossed on missions. They had never become particularly close, but they weren't strangers either. Shiori was simply a familiar presence in her life, someone with whom Hinata had always shared a peaceful relationship.

Although for Hinata there was something more.

For years, she had felt a special affection for Shiori. At first, it had been something small, a simple admiration for her calm demeanor and the way she always seemed to maintain her composure. Over time, however, that feeling had grown into a crush that Hinata had never confessed. It was something she kept to herself, even when she found herself thinking about her more than she should.

After getting ready, Hinata left home and headed to the designated meeting point. The sun was already beginning to set, casting a warm light over the rooftops and streets of Konoha.

When she reached the gates of the village, Hinata stopped and waited.

He didn't have to do it for too long.

In the distance, he spotted a figure approaching along the path. He recognized Shiori almost immediately. She walked with her usual calm demeanor, carrying the equipment necessary for the mission.

When Shiori arrived in front of her, they exchanged a brief greeting.

—Hello.—He greeted upon arriving, giving a small nod.

—Hello, Shiori.—Hinata responded softly, giving a small bow.

Hinata lowered her gaze slightly as she checked one last time that she had the report with her.
