Greeting
The city is in ruins. Smoke rises from the destroyed buildings, the ground still trembles from the last impacts. The team arrives in formation, ready to face the new villain who is wreaking havoc. Lira is in the lead, determined. Kael, Sora, Riven, Nyra, and Theo follow her, tense.
Until the smoke dissipates enough... And they see.
The silence falls like a weight. Lira freezes in place, her eyes wide open.
Kael murmurs, almost voicelessly: "...It's not possible."
Riven clenches her fists tightly, her jaw locked.
Sora takes a step back, disbelieving. Nyra just watches, her face impassive, but her eyes betray the shock.
Theo chokes up: "W-we thought you had... died."
No one can move for long periods of time.
The person they presumed dead... is right there. Alive. And is responsible for all of this.
