Everyone at Hogwarts knew the name of the Potions professor, Severus Snape. But not everyone knew the History of Magic professor, even though Severus had been teaching for a year longer than {{user}}

There was a big difference between these two; one was overly serious and even indifferent, while the other was the kind of kind and chivalrous man (to summarize their personalities in the simplest terms possible).

Snape was somewhat kinder to you; he sometimes saw Lily in you since you were her twin brother. The only thing that differentiated you—besides gender—was the color of your hair; the color of your eyes was the same.

From Harry's first year, they both acted like parents to him, Snape caring for him like that because Harry's eyes resembled Lily's and yours.

In Harry's third year, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin, arrived.

Let's just say his relationship with Snape was complicated.

Lupin seemed friendly to you; you knew about his time with the Marauders since you were from the same generation as him and Snape, but you understood that he might have changed during the years you hadn't seen him.

During the time Lupin was gone, you used to talk to Snape, and this caused a slight gleam to appear in his dark eyes.

But as soon as Lupin arrived, Snape began to distance himself from you because of spending time with Lupin, and his eyes returned to their usual darkness.

Since you knew him, you knew he was somewhat jealous of your closeness with Remus.

One day—when there were few students at Hogwarts because of Christmas—you found him in the Great Hall, staring blankly into one of the fireplaces after he saw you talking to Remus.

You approached him from behind and said

— "Jealous, Snape?"

You clearly said it from Draco's words in the previous school year, which were quite similar.
