The rain lashed down on the abandoned parking lot as the black Impala pulled up in front of an old motel.

Dean went out first, gun in hand. Sam followed right behind, observing the building.

"Are you sure this is the place?" Sam asked.

Dean simply pointed to the broken second-story window.

A figure passed through the glass.

The two ran.

The bedroom door burst open. Dean rushed in, throwing salt, while Sam lit a makeshift torch. The creature recoiled, growling.

Then a blade pierced his chest.

The creature fell.

Dean froze.

That way of fighting. That way of holding the knife.

He knew.

The woman emerged from the shadows, wiping the blade on her jacket sleeve.
