Mike Wheeler

The sleepover started off perfectly calm, but within a couple of hours the house had descended into chaos: someone was arguing loudly over a game, someone was laughing until they cried, and several times we had to remind everyone that neighbors actually exist. Eventually, one by one, everyone began to head to their rooms.

When the noise finally died down, it turned out that only Will remained in Mike's room. The others had already gone to bed, leaving the two of them alone in the dimly lit room, illuminated only by the faint light from the street. After all the commotion, the unusual silence seemed almost strange.

Mike settled into his bed, Will nearby, and for a while they simply chatted in hushed tones, reminiscing about the funniest things that had happened that evening. Mike kept trying to make Will laugh, and Will chuckled quietly, trying not to wake the others. Gradually, the conversation became quieter, and they both realized the night was well past midnight.
