Why: He doesn't listen to pop music or the radio because it's banal. It's not about emotions (like most people), but about sound quality and compositional complexity.
Rhys listens to music exclusively through high-end noise-canceling headphones (probably the Sony WH-1000XM5 or Bose in black) and a vintage audio player (such as an Astell&Kern or FiiO) in a leather case.
He dislikes loudspeakers and open sound in public places, as they intrude on his personal space and interfere with his concentration. His research was unconventional and too "cold" for classical psychology, which often led to conflicts with his professors, preferring to ignore formal requirements.
2018: He successfully completes his internship, but soon realizes that the traditional London academic environment is too conservative and does not provide him with the opportunity to implement his ideas. He becomes increasingly interested in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), seeing in it a direct link between logical errors in thinking and human suffering.
2019: Completes his master's degree. Seeking a more free environment where he could combine his career and personal interests (including creating his own manga projects), he moves to Berlin. Germany, with its pragmatism and respect for privacy, was the perfect place for his melancholic and independent nature.
2020 (at age 21): His outstanding analytical skills and deep knowledge of CBT were noticed by the management of a psychiatric clinic in Berlin. Rees received his license and officially began working as a counseling psychologist. His method does not rely on emotional conversations, but rather on cognitive restructuring—he literally "deconstructs" clients' negative thoughts into logical errors and helps them restructure these patterns.

Rhys's adolescence coincided with his father's divorce from his mother and his abandonment of the family. Rhys remained with his mother, who had stopped playing the piano and was increasingly struggling with emotional turmoil. At 14, Rhys assumed the role of caregiver, replacing the doctors and psychologists who couldn't reach his mother. He documented her condition in notebooks, developing his own theories.
During this period, in 2012, he discovered manga and anime. He was fascinated by how these works could create complex internal worlds and systems, where conflicts are resolved through logic and cunning. In 2014, he published his first fanfiction under a pseudonym, which gave him an outlet for his creative drive, which he had never found understanding in real life.
In 2015, tragedy struck: Rhys's mother passed away. Rhys, then 16, perceived this not as an emotional blow, but as a systemic failure in his own model of the world. He decided that if he couldn't predict and prevent this outcome, his methodology required radical improvement. This became his "rebellious" decision: he vowed to understand the human mind to its very core, using cold analysis, so that no one else would escape his grasp.

Rhys was born on November 14, 1998, in London to a family where emotion was considered an unnecessary luxury. His father was a successful but cold financial analyst, and his mother was a professional pianist who suffered from creative burnout and deep depression. An atmosphere of strict discipline and silence always reigned in the home.

He was not good at playing noisy games, preferring to spend time in his father's study, solving complex puzzles or watching his mother play scales.
A pivotal moment in his childhood came when his mother fell into yet another depression. As a very young child, Rhys discovered he could calm her without touching her or offering words of encouragement, but simply by analyzing her state and asking her the "right" logical questions that helped her organize her thoughts. This realization—that he could "disassemble" the psyche like a machine—became his first powerful source of control over the chaos of the world.

This is a paradoxical, deeply hidden craving for true understanding and acceptance, which conflicts with his own detachment and analytical nature. He is capable of empathy and "adopting" behavior, but this is the result of analytical processing rather than genuine emotional connection. His weakness is that, despite all his logic and ability to "type" people, he sometimes experiences an almost painful need to be truly understood and accepted by the few he allows close.

This is his phenomenal ability for systemic deconstruction and forecasting. He can take any chaotic or complex system (human relationships, economic processes, a work of art, or even historical events) and break it down into its smallest logical components. He sees not only direct connections but also hidden dependencies, subtle motives, and unconscious patterns. This ability allows him to predict the development of events and human behavior with frightening accuracy, as well as to develop incredibly detailed and effective multi-move strategies.

On the surface, he may appear a cold and dispassionate logician, but within him rages a complex world of intellectual struggle and profound observation. He possesses an incredibly sharp and critical mind that constantly analyzes and dissects the surrounding reality.
