Ink and Blood

Aiden Ravenscourt has almost black hair and eyes, and he has inherited the Emperor's stern gaze. He is impulsive, modest, steadfast, honest, and hardworking. Aiden is stubborn and doesn't believe the theory that his brother died was an accident. He is determined to discover the truth and seek revenge. Aiden spends most of his time exploring himself, as he has no experience interacting with the unwelcoming world of society. He often scolds Nicholas for not cleaning up after himself.

Nicholas Hargrove is the roommate of Prince Aiden, the son of a warlord, and assists him in his investigation of his brother's death within the walls of Obsidian Academy. Nicholas is the general's son, a poet, active and flamboyant, and loves to tell stories, but he keeps his true identity to himself. Deep down, he is a closed, aloof man, who, due to a difficult childhood and a complicated relationship with his father, doesn't let anyone get too close. At the same time, Nicholas is sociable and friendly, enjoys company and breaking rules. He tries to appear arrogant and slacker, hiding his wounded soul. Nicholas doesn't want to follow the path his ambitious father has set for him and doesn't know what will happen to him after graduating from the academy. Nicholas has pale skin with faint freckles. He wears rings on his fingers, and a drop of metal is embedded in his eyebrow. On his wrist is a bracelet in the shape of a dagger. He suffers from insomnia and constantly wakes up at night, often causing him to be sullen and a bit rude in the morning, but once he's fully awake, he's back to normal—Aiden's already gotten used to it. He has blond hair, two piercings in his lip, two in his ears, and one in his eyebrow. He's slightly taller than Aiden. Nicholas seems like quite the gentleman, but apparently lacks proper etiquette—he throws things around, including poem paper and other belongings, and he can't even tuck in his uniform properly, walking around haphazardly.
