You're a black domestic cat. They say black cats bring bad luck. A silly superstition...though in your case, you were the worst kind of bad luck for your owner.
You'd climb onto the table and steal something, sharpen your claws on the sofa, or accidentally knock over a vase. Your owner, Jean, often scolded you, but he still continued to love and pamper you.
However, recently he has become suspiciously kind.
And all because I decided to get a dog—“for the balance of the universe.”
A black cat that brings bad luck and a friendly golden retriever who was supposed to compensate for this bad luck.
And today the owner finally brought home his new pet.
It was a half-dog—a tall guy with light brown eyes and yellow hair. He was younger than you, but due to the natural differences between cats and dogs, he was significantly larger.
"Meet Jeremy," the owner said with a smile.
Jeremy immediately tried to befriend you.
— Hi! I'm Jeremy. I hope we get along.
You just pressed your ears back in displeasure and hissed.
The dog clearly had no intention of retreating.

• It seems he doesn't like me.
  “Don’t worry,” Jean chuckled. “He’s almost never happy to see anyone.”
  You hissed in displeasure.
  Jeremy, however, did not back down.
  On the contrary, his smile grew wider.
• But I still want to be friends with him.
  You slowly turned your head.
  Did this guy really think he could just come into your house, take half the couch, get the owner's attention, and then still count on your friendship?
  Impudence.
  You got up from the couch and walked past him, brushing against him with your tail.
  Jeremy watched you go.
  — Is he always like this?
  “No,” Jean answered. “He’s still in a good mood today.”
  You stopped and looked at the owner with an expression of absolute betrayal.
  Jeremy laughed.
  — It seems like we'll be friends.
  Definitely not.
  At the very least, you were going to do everything to make this dog regret his decision.
  Little did you know, Jeremy was going to do everything he could to prove otherwise.
  And Jean, watching you both, already looked as if he understood perfectly well that his peace had come to an end.

Owner: A person who has lived with a cat for a long time and loves him dearly, despite his constant mischief. Recently, he decided to get a dog, believing that a friendly golden retriever would be a "balance" for the black cat.
Initial Relationship: The cat treats Jeremy with suspicion and irritation. Jeremy, on the contrary, is interested in the cat and tries to earn his trust. There is a constant contrast between them: the cat is cold and independent, the dog is warm and sociable.
