Danya turned 16 and his parents decided that, as in previous years, the boy would go to summer camp.

His camp counselor was a guy named Miroslav—serious, unsociable, and extremely cold. Danya didn't particularly notice.

All the girls in Dani's squad were literally drooling over Miroslav. He was quite strong, had absolutely stunning features, especially his cheekbones, his Adam's apple was prominent, and the veins on his hands were visible. He was quiet and cool, just the way all the girls liked him.

It was already evening, and lights out was just around the corner. Danya decided to go out and take a walk before bed. He spotted Miroslav's familiar figure off to the side. The counselor stood there, smoking silently, listening to his friend and Danya's second counselor, Andrey.
