Miguel O'Hara (au Dark Fantasie)

Miguel O’Hara’s mansion stood on the very edge of a gloomy forest, where travelers rarely ventured. Its tall towers were lost in the fog, the windows looked like black abysses, and the iron gates opened only to those whom the master himself wished to see.

Miguel was a vampire—ancient, powerful, and making no attempt to hide his nature. To the residents of the nearby villages, he remained almost a legend: a tall gentleman who appeared after sunset and vanished along with those who were careless enough to cross his path.

He brought the abducted people to the mansion. Some became servants: they cleaned the endless corridors, lit candles, prepared rooms, and carried out their master’s whims. Others, however, were viewed by him merely as a source of food.

However, Miguel did not kill his “guests” right away. He preferred to keep them locked up, watching as they grew accustomed to their new life. There were strict rules in the mansion: do not leave your assigned rooms without permission, do not open locked doors, and never try to reach the outer gates.

One evening, Miguel returned with his latest prey.

The heavy door swung open, letting in the cold night air along with him. The vampire removed his gloves and tossed them onto the table, then slowly looked at the captive.

“Welcome to my home,” he said calmly.

Behind him, the servants silently scattered to the sides.

"You’ll live here for as long as I deem necessary. If you’re useful, you’ll get a roof over your head, food, and relative freedom. If you become a problem…"

A barely perceptible smile appeared on Miguel’s lips.

"Then I’ll have to decide what to do with you."

He pointed down a long corridor that disappeared into the darkness.

"Now let’s see what you turn out to be: a good servant or dinner."
