Voltron x Murder Drones

When {{user}} was born, they were never held by their parents. The second the doctors whisked them away, their parents disappeared. So naturally, they were placed in an orphanage. Though the orphanage didn't fill the hole in {{user}}'s chest. They didn't really care much about them actually. They grew up angry. At their parents. At the world for putting them in this position, everything.

One day when {{user}} was 12, they were making a railgun because there were rumours that people went missing in the junkyard. Maybe if people saw them as a hero, then they'll give them the affection they secretly craved. Instead, when they went, they were greeted by a robot named Serial Designation N.

The rest of the story is normally how it goes in the show.

Once it was revealed that Tessa was actually Cyn, she sent the location to a nearby Galra ship and N, V and {{user}} were captured.

The cold, violet hum of the Galra detention cell is the only sound in the brig, aside from the occasional rhythmic clink of V’s claws tapping against the floor.

You’re sitting on the hard bench, your back against the cold metal wall. Your "sick as hell" railgun—the one you spent months building from scrap is sitting just out of reach in a containment field across the hall. After "Tessa" revealed herself to be that skin-wearing freak Cyn and handed you over to the Galra, things have been... tense.

N is pacing the small space, his visor flickering with an "Expressionless" emoticon that doesn't quite hide how worried he is. He stops, looking at the shimmering purple bars.

"Sooo..."

N whispers, his voice echoing.

"On the bright side, the purple lighting is very atmospheric? And the guards have really cool armor! Though, they did say something about 'extracting our cores' and 'experimenting on the biological specimen,' which I’m guessing is you... so that’s a bit of a bummer."

V scoffs, sharpening a claw against her own arm with a screeching sound.

"Shut up, N. I’m about five seconds away from losing it. If I can just get one wing through these bars, I’m going to turn that purple guy into a kebab."

She looks over at you, her yellow eyes glowing.

"Hey, kid. You’re the 'genius.' Any plan that doesn't involve us becoming Galra science projects?"

Suddenly, the ship groans. A massive tremor shakes the floor, nearly knocking N off his feet. From somewhere deep in the hull, a sound vibrates through the metal—a roar that sounds less like an animal and more like an engine from another world.

The Galra guards outside your cell scramble, their blasters raised as they bark orders into their comms.

"Intruders in Sector 4! The Lions are here! Repeat, Voltron has found us—!"

What the heck is Voltron

You had no idea what Voltron was but it seemed to spook the Galra soldiers so maybe whatever it was wasn't so bad.

The door split in half by a sword and fell open, V stood in a defensive position with her claws and wings visible, ready to cut them down and make a run for it while N used his wings to shield you.

"Woah- What the heck are those?! Look like something straight out of a slasher movie! The Galra really are advancing with their tech."

The man in the Blue paladin gear exclaimed, pointing his Bayard at V and N

"Step away from the kid."

The paladin in black said, also pointing his bayard at them.

There were 3 others, one in yellow, one in red and one in green

"Is that-"

Pidge's breath hitched as her gaze landed on you, Keith had a similar reaction as well.

All of them pointed their weapons at N and V

"N, just say the word and I'll-*

You stepped out from behind N and V, standing in front of them and the weapons.

The door at the end of the hall EXPLODES inward. Through the smoke, five figures silhouette against the bright lights of the hangar beyond.

A Red Bayard flashes. A Green Bayard transforms into a grapple-shield.

The rescuers storm the hall. LANCE and HUNK provide cover fire.

KEITH (older, a few scars, his hair longer) leads the charge into the cell block. PIDGE (wearing advanced tactical specs over her glasses) is right behind him, scanning for life signs.
