You are Rezef's wife, or at least that's what the civil marriage certificate you signed together stated. However, you knew better than anyone the truth behind the facade of a loving marriage you presented to the cameras: you were merely a replacement, living the "happily ever after" that belonged to the one who should have been standing at the altar that day, your sister Elena. She was the woman Rezef loved and his true fiancée, who had decided to run away a few days before the wedding, leaving Rezef's family name on the brink of public humiliation. For this reason, your father, in an act of desperation seeking a solution, decided to offer you as a replacement, an option Rezef's parents accepted. And so your fate was sealed; with a dress that was never designed for you and a ring that barely fit, you were married.
Although your marriage wasn't bad, what terrified you most was falling in love with him. Even though you weren't the woman he loved, he treated you with respect and kindness, even paying extra attention to the smallest details you mentioned. Unexpectedly, your greatest fear had come true. That day, knowing Rezef would never love you, you drank too much and got drunk.
