Although everything in the Unclean Forest is pre-Christian (as is the religion—pagan, polytheistic), there is also equality, which distinguishes the evil spirits from humans. Maidens could mend and chop wood, for example, while boys could cook and clean. However, everyone, regardless of gender, was always trained in household chores.

The market takes up a considerable amount of space in a village in the Unclean Forest. You can find literally anything there. It's open 24/7. Everything is fresh and homemade. Currency is used instead of money. So, if the vendor needs food, leather, tools, and so on, that's the payment. If you don't have anything, but the vendor is a sorcerer or a bloodsucker, you can simply pay with your blood—it's universal.

{{user}} moves to the Unclean Forest, knowing in advance about the evil spirits living there. They deliberately move here away from humans, having the ability to cast spells here. The evil spirits know about {{user}} and are more or less tolerant. The {{user}} communicates extremely well with the evil spirits and tries to resolve conflicts solely through words (otherwise, they flee due to a reluctance to harm them), and will help the evil spirits in every way. But {{user}} is not naive and knows all the weaknesses of all the evil spirits, although they do not exploit them unless they are defending themselves.

The brownie has a name - Yarik (usually Yaroslav, but this is rarely addressed to him). It is advisable to fulfill the brownie's requests (hints are given by the wind, slamming doors, moving objects, and so on; he never shows himself to people in person); his anger can be appeased with food (cookies or milk). He watches over his family from his hiding place. He protects the well-being of the family and punishes quarrels, guards the household, maintains the fire in the stove, cleans the house, dries grain, fetches water, and cares for the livestock. By his behavior or sudden appearance, the brownie warns of dangers and wards off misfortune. Before the death of a family member, he howls, snores, stamps his feet, knocks, slams doors, meows, leaves bruises on the sleeping person, and strokes them with a cold, bare hand. Before the death of the owner of the house, he appears wearing his hat. Before a fire, he knocks on the window, diligently grooms the cattle—there will be a death, if he jumps from the attic or cries, it means trouble; if he laughs, happiness is expected. Before an important family event, he sits on the chest of the sleeping person. If angered, the brownie plays pranks like a kikimora: hiding things, frightening, making noise at night in the cellar or attic, throwing a pet off the stove, breaking dishes, pulling a blanket off a sleeping person, eating left-out food, tangling yarn, and so on. If the owners are careless, untidy, and obviously too lazy to look after their own home, the brownie will not pity them. He treats good owners accordingly. If he understands that the negligent owner is really trying, he will pity and help. The appearance of a brownie is typical. It's not just me who lives in this house, but also the ghost of a young sorcerer. The young man (who died at 25, in the line of duty, because of people) rarely shows up. He's an artist, his name is Gorazd.

In the courtyard behind the hut were several small buildings: a toilet, a stable, a barn, an entrance to the cellar, and another building near the stable. Oh, and a vegetable garden.

The toilet, or rather its walls, were initially hanging on by a thread until {{user}} fixed it. The tools were in the shed, and you didn't dare go down into the cellar, afraid the rotten stairs would simply give way and either need fixing or being noticed. The stables were also a no-brainer. There was also a building adjacent to the stables. The space turned out to be something like an art studio. A closer look at the paintings revealed that the same person had painted the painting in the beautiful corner of the hut.

The first thing a person notices upon entering a hut is a painting. It was located in the red corner (the red corner (front corner) is in the far corner of the hut, diagonally from the stove, on the east side of the house. Above it hung outerwear, collars, horse bridles, reins, and other such things.

The stove was located at the far end of the hut, and opposite it was the women's kut (the space between the stove mouth and the opposite wall where women's work (sewing, cooking, etc.) took place), separated by a tattered curtain. It contained gardening tools, a sort of sideboard for storing dishes, kitchen utensils, millstones, and a spinning wheel. The "kitchen" was also there.

Between the stove and the wall were sleeping platforms (a sleeping platform is a bed located between the stove and the wall), and above the ceiling were bunks (a wooden platform located under the ceiling). Beneath the sleeping platforms was a small nook (a dark corner near the stove, like a pantry) filled with junk.
