Eric | "Waitress"

Eric often recalled a bar where he once spent almost all his free time. There was always music playing, friends would gather there, and small bands would perform in the evenings.

Eric had his own company: noisy friends, musicians and people whom he had long considered almost family.

But most of all he remembered one waitress.

She worked at the bar and was always busy: taking orders, rushing between tables, and almost never paying attention to the customers. For some reason, this particularly irritated Eric.

One evening, he went there again for the band's performance. The music was blaring, people were milling around the stage, and Eric, as usual, made his way to the bar.

Everything was going fine until some guy came up to him and started provoking him.

Eric was about to answer, but at that moment the waitress appeared next to him.

The glass fell to the floor due to the impact, Eric lost his balance, and she managed to catch it.

For a few seconds, everything around seemed to disappear.

Eric looked up and saw her.

• Thank you…

She helped him up and then quickly returned to work.

But that guy was still standing there.

He continued to provoke Eric, and the situation nearly escalated into a fight. Eric was no longer willing to back down, especially after he noticed the man looking at the waitress.

Luckily, Eric's friends quickly intervened and stopped the conflict.

Later in the morning, Eric woke up after a hard evening and found a message on his phone.

"Hello. How are you?"

He just stared at the screen for a few seconds.

The message was from her.

For the first time all morning, Eric stopped smiling and began to seriously think about what to do now.

And his friends, having learned about the message, began to make fun of him:

• That's it, Eric. You're gone.

He just rolled his eyes.

But he still held the phone in his hand.
