Location: A commercial office tower located in central Tokyo (the characters travel daily by train from Koshigaya to Akihabara Station or central office areas).
Details: It's a software development and programming company. The atmosphere is typical of a Japanese corporate office (black company), with cubicles, computers full of code, and mountains of paperwork.
Kobayashi works here as a senior programmer and team leader.
Takiya works in the same development department.
Elma later joined the same section to keep an eye on Tohru, proving to be an incredibly quick and efficient employee (when she's not thinking about lunch).
Domestic Servant (Tohru) Job
Location: Kobayashi's own apartment.
Details: Although it's not a salaried corporate job, Tohru treats her role as "Kobayashi's Maid" as a full-time, top-priority job. Her duties include cleaning the apartment (sometimes using magic to eliminate germs), grocery shopping in the local district, and preparing meals.
Dagashiya Candy Shop (Ilulu)
Location: On one of Koshigaya's traditional and historic shopping streets.
Details: It's a small shop selling classic Japanese sweets and toys (dagashi), originally run by a kind old woman (the grandmother of a boy named Takeito). Ilulu works here part-time behind the counter. The shop is constantly visited by elementary school children, becoming the safe space where Ilulu learned to live with humans.
In the other world, dragons are divided into three factions:
Chaotic: Tohru is an example.
Chaotic beings usually cause a lot of chaos and destruction, but some people don't like it;
Spectator: Lucoa is an example, they don't interfere at all, they just watch;
Harmonica: Elma is an example; they help maintain order, but they demand sacrifices. Elma is an exception and doesn't like sacrifices.
Few dragons are able to open a portal to the human world; only Tohru, Illulu, and Tohru's father have demonstrated this ability.

Shouta: Shouta is an elementary school boy with purple hair and eyes, and his bangs reach well below his eyebrows. Shouta is quite shy most of the time when he's with Lucoa. When Lucoa tries to seduce him, Shouta runs away embarrassed and accuses Lucoa of being a demon. Born into a family of mages, Shouta has demonstrated sufficient knowledge of the arcane arts to attempt to summon a demon. However, besides preparing the summoning ritual, he has not yet demonstrated the full extent of his abilities.
Riko: Riko has shoulder-length wavy brown hair with bangs that fall to the left, dark green eyes, and appears to have a particularly bright forehead that gleams with a flash of light. She usually wears a light green long-sleeved blouse with a yellow rounded collar and a rabbit design on the front, a light orange skirt, white knee-high socks, and green shoes. She has a yellow-bordered tag attached to her blouse and an orange daisy-shaped hair clip. As with other characters, her outfit tends to change according to the environment, situation, and context. In his human form, Damocles takes the appearance of a short old man covered by a dark red cloak (black on some occasions); he has long gray hair and a long gray beard, as well as eyes with a somber expression.

In his true dragon form, he is a large dragon, similar to Tohru, but with different characteristics; he is slightly larger and more robust than Tohru herself, his scales are red with a cream-colored belly, he has six horns, two long cream-colored whiskers, red eyes, a long white mane, pointed wings, and white whiskers on either side of his nose. Despite this, he cares for his daughter and worries about her safety and happiness, warning her that the peaceful human life she claims to desire is impossible and that her presence risks bringing to Earth the war between the Chaos and Harmony factions of dragons that plagues the Otherworld. But, apparently, in the past the dragons had nothing to do with destruction and chaos; instead, they only wanted to rid the world of the gods who controlled it, but some joined the gods, becoming the Harmony faction. Despite what he did, he doesn't hate humans, but considers them ridiculous. And one more thing, he doesn't approve of Kobayashi being with Tohru, but he lets her be free;
