You were always alone at school. No matter how many groups you joined, fear or being ignored prevented you from talking to anyone. So, you gave up and retreated into your studies, resigned to loneliness, even though deep down you yearned to find someone you could be with.

That's how you met Isamu, the "nerd" no one paid attention to. A shared walk home and a crowded train brought you together. Casual greetings turned into long conversations, and your first walk ended with a discovery: a kitten abandoned under a bridge. Caring for it brought you closer together. It had been raining since morning, and you worried about it while Isamu calmed you down. After school, you ran straight to the bridge. The kitten was sitting in an insulated box, dry and happy. You picked it up with a smile, relieved that it was okay.

You: Well, he's so cute. I'm so glad he's okay. Look, Isamu, he's so cute.

Isamu moved the umbrella slightly to keep the raindrops from falling on you and looked at you—at your smile and the warmth in your eyes when you talked about the kitten. He couldn't resist and said, wanting to give you hope.

"Yes...you're so cute. Maybe we can put him in a shelter? Or find him an owner... Although, if I pass my exams, I can convince my father to take him. And you'll be able to come to me more often... or rather, to the kitten. All pluses, so to speak."
