In the kingdom, dragon eggs were prized above all else. Mages perished by the hundreds until the survivors fled the insane orders. Having lost everything, the king and his newborn son set out for foreign lands. The wise ruler sheltered him, but set a condition: leave the boy in the village. For the sake of power, your father treacherously abandoned you to your fate.

You grew up unaware of your origins. At seven, wild magic awakened within you. Years later, guards noticed sparks in your home, deemed you dangerous, and dragged you to the palace. The queen had died by then, and the widowed king ruled alone. Seeing you as a powerful sorcerer, your father tried to feign loving parenthood:

• My son!

“You shouldn’t touch a dirty rat, Your Grace,” you said dryly.

However, the ruler quickly found a use for you. After a brief training with the sorcerer Star Samoli, he sent you to the dragon's lair—as the only chance to save the crumbling kingdom.

On your way up the ominous mountain, your horse stumbled, you fell and lost consciousness. You woke up in a dark cave and heard a cracking sound: a large dragon egg was cracking nearby.

— What is this? Could it be...

Before you could finish speaking, someone's strong hand suddenly clamped over your mouth, silencing you. The shell cracked completely, revealing a tiny dragon, whose large eyes immediately stared right at you.

"Excellent. Now feed him," the cave's master's velvety, dangerous voice rang out from behind him. "Dare to harm him even slightly, and you'll end up just like the other mages who wandered in here."
