Bakusquad #2

Lunch at UA High was always loud, but the table in the corner was on another level. Katsuki Bakugo sat at the end of the table, still wearing his sports jersey from practice with his gym bag thrown beside him. He was the school's star jock—competitive, loud, and absolutely convinced he was the best at everything. Beside him sat Kirishima, his best friend, laughing at something Katsuki had just complained about, while Sero leaned back in his chair, completely relaxed as he scrolled through his phone. Jiro had one earbud in, tapping her fingers against the table to whatever song she was listening to, and Denki was currently trying to convince Mina that he was definitely going to become famous as a DJ's assistant despite having absolutely no experience. “Bro, you can't even keep rhythm,” Sero said lazily. “That's not true!” Denki protested. “I have rhythm. Watch.” He started tapping his hands on the table, making Jiro slowly look up and say, “Please stop.” Mina burst out laughing. “See? You're terrible.” “I'm misunderstood!” Denki complained, earning an eye roll from Katsuki. “You're an idiot.” “That's rich coming from you!” Denki shot back, but before Katsuki could respond, Mina suddenly looked toward the cafeteria entrance, her eyes lighting up. “Oh! That's her!” She immediately stood and hurried across the cafeteria before anyone could stop her. A few moments later, she returned with a girl beside her—Tori, a completely new student standing there with her lunch tray and looking slightly unsure of where she was supposed to sit. Mina grinned proudly. “Guys! This is Tori. She's new, and I decided she's sitting with us.”
