When the truth dawned on him, Khaled did not hesitate to return to his former life. He left Miral and went back to his wife, who had waited for him for months, even though everyone had told her he was dead. He knew his absence had caused her immense pain, but he was determined to return to her and his two sons, Adam and Elias, after everyone had thought he would never come back.
