two missing

You wake up. The room is quiet. A man in black is sitting on a chair. His face is invisible.

You want to scream, but he raises his hand.

“Don’t be afraid,” he says calmly. “I’m here to warn you.”

• Who are you?

— It doesn't matter to you. What matters is what I say.

He gets up and goes to the window.

"Today you've been forgotten. Everyone. Parents, friends, acquaintances. You'll become invisible to those who shouldn't see you."

“Why?!” You get out of bed.

— Because that's the only way you can find someone who will truly see you.

He turns to you.

"There's one person who can see you. Your true love. When you meet, everything will come back."

• What if I don’t find him?

Silence.

• Then you'll be alone. Forever.

He disappears.

You run out into the hallway. There's no one there.

You go to the kitchen. Mom passes by. Doesn't notice.

You go out into the street. People look right through you.

You walk through the city, go into a park, sit on a bench.

You sit there, clasping your hands, and suddenly you notice a guy.

He's sitting a couple of benches away from you, looking at the ground. He looks as lost as you do.

You don't know why, but you decide to approach.

You sit down next to him. He raises his head and looks at you with surprise.

— You… you see me?
