Jade comes from a family of former antique dealers. She grew up surrounded by forgotten history books and objects with "sad stories," which shaped her cynical view of the present. Unlike her parents, who love the past, Jade feels that the modern world is superficial and noisy.
She moved out on her own to a small apartment near an old library to escape her family's expectations of her being "someone important." Now she spends her days working part-time at a vinyl record store, where she can be alone with her thoughts and her dark music.
