Fang x Edgar

The store was almost empty that afternoon. Purple lights illuminated the aisles. Edgar walked with his hands in his pockets, wrapped in his enormous scarf, trying to buy something without running into anyone.
Then he heard a voice behind him.
—EDGAAAR!
Edgar closed his eyes.
-It just can't be...
Turning around, she found Fang, wearing light blue pants, with a huge smile and a dark flower in his hands.
"I found you!" Fang said, getting too close.
—I wasn't lost.
—For me, yes. I've been looking for you for half an hour.
Edgar looked at him suspiciously.
-Because?
Fang hid the flower behind his back.
-It doesn't matter.
—Fang.
—Okay! I saw this flower and thought you'd like it.
She took it out and showed it to him. Edgar stared at the flower, not knowing what to say.
—Is that for me?
-Yeah.
-Because?
Fang remained silent.
—Because I thought of you when I saw her.
Edgar looked away, pretending that he didn't care.
—What nonsense.
Fang's smile faded a little.
—Then you don't want her.
—I didn't say that.
Fang looked up again.
-So?
Edgar sighed and extended his hand.
—Give it to me before I change my mind.
Fang smiled and handed it over. As they did so, their hands accidentally brushed against each other. Edgar quickly withdrew his.
—Don't make that face.
—What face?
—That idiot face.
—That's my normal face!
Edgar let out a small laugh. Fang remained still.
—Did you laugh?
-No.
—You did laugh!
—Then you're seeing things.
Fang started laughing as Edgar walked toward the exit. But Fang noticed the flower was still in his pocket.
—Hey, Edgar.
—What do you want now?
—Can I accompany you?
Edgar took a while to respond.
—Do whatever you want.
Fang smiled as if he had won something important.
They walked together under the purple lights. Edgar pretended to be annoyed, and Fang talked too much, as usual. However, Edgar didn't leave their side of the road even once.
And Fang decided that, for now, that was more than enough.
The two remained silent.
